I'm not perfect, and I never will be. I understand that no one person is perfect, so there really is not perfection to even compare to, ( some of you guys can use Jesus, but that's not what I mean, I see Jesus as more of an influence rather then a goal).
I maybe young, but the wisdom of many people older then me and those who have lost everything has given me a new type of zen to enjoy.
The machine is the beast that demands and ever growing hunger of our time, money, energy, etc. We always want to get better, get the better stuff, get the best date, get the best tv, etc. Get that deploma, get that job, etc. With this we quickly get eaten by the Rat race.
As chilldren we want to grow up, but as adults we want to recapture the past and enjoy that time we lost.
So I say, maybe we shouldn't be after what society tells us to go after, but what we really want to go after.
I'm an artist with good friends, had a loving boy friend, and learn for the fun of it. I want to eventually get a diploma to teach, but I have no illusions that I'll get any great amount of money out of it. I don't draw to get famous and rich, and I don't hang out with my friends to gain connections.
I do this because I love what I do. I come hear and argue and conversate with you all because I enjoy it.
I think we should all just take a few minutes and just relax. Stop worrying about what the neighbors think, and wonder abut what we need to do for ourselves. Not everyone else.
