The mark.

Is the mark of the beast already here? People say it is but I don't agree, people say that this RFID chip is the mark of the beast. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

That technology could be used in that way someday. But I doubt it woukd happen. Right now those are used on animals like for a dog or cat if they get lost. Potentially it might be used for harsh criminals , or if movies ideas are being used, in super secret government agents. But the mark of the beast sounded like it had to do with being able to buy and sell. At least that was part of the context of those verses. Until we have credit cards in our hands, I think we're safe with the RFID chips.

One interptation I've heard is the mark of the beast isn't technological like a chip in our hand, but it's symbolic as much of revelations is. The mark on our hand is symbolic of our actions, the mark on our head is our aliegence to the beast. (Or something like that). Honestly I don't know much about symbolism and there's a dozen plus theories for the symbols of Revelations. But this theory opened my mind to new possibilities. The mark could be a real mark. It could be an implanted chip. Or it could be symbolic of something else of our actions or behavior assoicated with the beast.

Regardless of the truth of these verses, if you stay faithful to Jesus, and don't renounce HIm in the upcoming pressure foretold, then I'm sure you will be safe from having the mark.

Hi Brock. The Man of Sin (Antichrist) will not have his power until the second half of seven years of tribulation. The first three & one-half years is the temptation to come upon all the world. (Rev 3:10).

The following incidents are accomplished by the False Prophet.
Rev 13:15 And he (False Prophet) had power to give life unto the image of the beast (The man of Sin), that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

I think what people fear is the fact they don't realize that all in Christ will be caught up to heaven prior to that time of the mark being needed to buy and sell during the second half of the tribulation (Rev 13:17). There does seem to be evidence of banks, and commerce wanting a foolproof method identifying the person using their credit or debit cards, and the chip is just the latest attempt at it.

You aren't in heaven yet, and even then those that come to Jesus during that time mostly out of Israel being judged will be presented that option of the mark, and -
Mat 24:21 says: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Are you in the book of life? Rev 3:5 . . . I will not blot out his name out of the book of life)

If this doesn't make sense to you, ask in three or more other ways. There are many that can come up with all manner of reasons to show you that you aren't secure in Christ. I don't know if this will help, but even those believers of the Great Multitude coming out of great tribulation are in heaven before the man of Sin is revealed.

I've heard this as well... especially ascribing the mark of the beast as license to sin. IOW intentionally living a sinful lifestyle and claiming Christ at the same time.

When we read 2 Thessalonians 2 we get some insight. Whatever the mark is, it is freely taken(no indication that he makes you) and it is very deceptive in nature.

Here is the thing, we may not know what the mark is - but we can know what it will not be. By knowing the truth, you can detect any lie that comes. The ones who take the mark do so because they do not love the truth, but have pleasure in sin.

2Th 2:9-12
The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I assure you that by knowing the truth, you will easily detect what is false. I heard it put this way, counterfeit detectives know how to spot a false bill by knowing the real front to back. There are many different false ways to counterfeit something, but only one true article. If you tried to study all the different ways of how someone can make something false, then that one time when someone comes up with something that looks real - that you have never studied before - then you may be deceived if you have not studied the real.

Simply put - know the real thing and all the fake things will be clear. :)

Christ took away the sin of the world but there is one unforgivable sin. Is there a connection with the mark?

Narrow is the path to life and broad is the road that leads to destruction.

dirtfarmer here

This is what I have come to believe.

The mark of the beast will be RFID( Radio frequency identification). A microchip implanted between a person's hand and their thumb. They can be inserted by hypodermic needles.

This is already happening, in a way.
Hyper Grace.
It says that one is sealed with Christ and can never lose salvation.
They, for now, are saying that it is not a license to sin, but you know the old slippery slope.

IF we are sealed with Christ forever, no matter whether or not we stay with Him or return to a life of sin,
that pretty much sounds to me like your scenario.

Rev_13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

get the 'mark' in your left hand ...

I get the feeling that this isn't going to cut it.

It's going to be an obvious thing...one where we know that it's a sin. One the Bible says don't do or promote.

And when the day comes for them to line up the Christians for beheading...it's going to start a fight with me if I can't be line leader.

The mark of the beast has always been since the begining of time and is not some kind of chip or a mark on your hand or forehead. The mark of the beast means thoughts of the mind and actions of the hand.

These people who take this mark have no understanding of the word of God as they reject the teachings of Christ as they are lovers of self, 2 Timothy 3:1-7. They will allow themselves to be deceived in their mind as they reach out with their hands and bow down to this Luciferian military order that disguises itself a as religious order that promises them provision, peace and safety during the time of Gods great wrath as they have no faith in Jesus, Rev 13.

Revelation 13:15 And he(2nd Beast) had power to give life unto the image of the beast(1st Beast), that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed...

How can an image Speak?

How can an image be counted?
An image is uncountable. You can't say "give me 1 milk or 1 image", there has to be a measuring system?

Is the Image the Mark?

An image is a reflection of a pretense that can disguise itself to take on any form of an attribute.
Example: Someone who calls them self a Christian, but inside are a ravaging wolf seeking whom he can devour
Example: Someone who exhorts their own power and authority leading others astray

So the reflection of the image disguises itself to take on a form that doesn't offend?

yes as when things look good they can also be deceiving to the unlearned mind.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
