the military is not biblical practice

Dear Pro-military,

It seems that most of you are brilliant in debating the Scripture but you dont seem to know how to apply them in real life. Christianity is a way of life, friends. We should know how to apply what we read in the Bible. Talk the talk, and not walk the walk make us only hypocrites. You know very well that Jesus hates hypocrisy. There is no room for hypocrisy in God's kingdom.

.

Where does Jesus say that men should NOT join the military??? Jesus lived in occupied land, but never once mentions that the Romans were evil because they were a military power. Jesus was concerned with treatment of our fellow man, so DEFENDING man's own would be an act of love. A person can be in the military for the purpose of defending his country, those whom he loves. There is no hypocrisy in defending what one loves. Jesus Himself was zealous for what He loved, as in the "cleansing of the Temple". He was often harsh with Pharisees who were misleading His People. You are confused with the 21st century notion of love, this squeemish idea that we should live and let live. However, those who truly love stand up for what they believe in and will defend it, even laying down their lives for that belief.

Regards

Revelation 19:11-21 shows what Jesus does to His enemies. How does this fit with your interpretation?

Ah, usual one.

Jesus will be judging the whole world very soon. Everyone has to wait until His time, friend.

.
Your interpretation of Scripture makes Jesus a sinner, and you flippantly ignore the whole counsel of God. Your position of being obedient to God is admirable, but your secrets and noncompliance with the whole counsel of the Word of God reveals that you are young and unlearned concerning the spiritual things of God, or you are blatantly liberal with a disregard for the American military.

Solo,

It is your opinion. We will see whom we are deceiving ourselves and others with our practices very soon.

Jesus wants all His followers to aim for holy and righteous. Practice of the military makes us hypocrites, I pray that you think very seriously about being holy and righteous as Jesus' commands.

The military exists because of their own country's welfare. It is totally worldly concept. It is not of Jesus.

By your understanding and belief of all this with respect to the military, the U.S. and other world forces should have just let Adolf Hitler continue what he was doing and wipe out all Jews, the Rwanda genocide should have been left alone to continue and wipe out all Tutsis, Joseph Stalin should have been allowed to continue his genocide of between 3 (recorded) to 60 (approximated) million people, the Srebrenica massacre should have been ignored, and many other horrible atrocities should have just been let go.

Or should have Christians gone over to these countries and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the psychos, who have no regard for religion or life, in hopes that they would just make a 180 degree turnaround and stop what they were doing?

Get real, Shad. If it wasn't for military forces that fight for the good in this world, we wouldn't be here. These madmen would have wiped everyone off the face of the earth, with the exception of those who would follow them in fear for their own lives, not because they wanted to. Sometimes showing love to our enemies is to show mercy and remove them from this world to make it a better place. In addition, this shows love and mercy to the countless millions that cannot defend themselves who suffer at the hands of these madmen by liberating them.
