The (seemingly) most difficult statement to make from an honest and earnest heart: 'O Lord, thank YOU for Today...'

Why do you say that?

Because I dont get to say it quite often...as supposed. The human soul and avarice! All I do is remember those which have not been fulfilled. If I did - I seldom did. Wanna learn to say it quite often even when there's nothing to be thankful for.

Now dont I deserve a holy spanking? :(

Looking out the window I see hundreds who have practically nothing: yet they sing praises of thanksgiving.

Good health, breath, appetite, dough, etc seem not to be enough even when there are oceans of 'em flanking me. I wanna learn to be more thankful

There is never a time that we have nothing to be thankful of. Did you get up from bed this morning without assistance, did you dress yourself and get something to eat? I could go on, but the point being is that many need help getting out of bed, but thank God they have a bed. Many need assistance in dressing themselves, but thank God they have something to put on. Many can not get their own food, but thank God for those who help feed them. Some people do not have jobs, but thank God and trust Him to open the doors of opportunity. Sometimes I think it is those that have not who are the most thankful for what they do have. I know my husband and I were when we were at our worst at one time.
