The New Move

[His reflection]

I am happy for this "so-called" new move of God that is sweeping through our nations all around the world, it is wonderful hear of the large amount of people now professing to be christians. However I have also notice that all biblical standards are thrown out the windows. Seemingly this new move is all about the "hype" and "fun", don't take me wrong but am all for christians having fun and lots of it but Christianity is more than that.
Seemingly the first evidence of christian in todays world is there adility to shout and dance even the amount of tithes and offerings a persons may give.
I really think the bible on the other hand stresses HOLINESS(Hed 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and {holiness}, without which no man shall see the Lord),OBEDIANCE, LOVE,etc.
Really the word of God is the way forward and we cant have a new move of God without the Word of God.
1 Sam 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to {obey} is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

I'm not quite sure what your getting at. I agree that a move towards God requires the Word he gave us, and that may be what your saying, It's just kinda vague. :-?

I think "new and improved" christianity is a passing fad much like the endless parade of false teachings and false teachers.

Jesus said "My house will be a house of prayer". I don't see much prayer in doing the jig, dancing, falling on the floor, and ACTING out of one's mind. A frenzy to the rhythm of a beat. For that is what it is, an act.

If a person wants real christianity sustainable day to day, week to week, year to year, decade to decade on a personal and knowable basis then a person needs to visit an Orthodox Church.

Prayer defines His Church.
