Horray for writing down the nonsense spoken by those with a PhD - in charge of filling impresionable young adult minds with knowledge. (the following are all actual quotes by professors - and only a fraction of the things I have written down)

"I think I'm done with the Black Plague at this point."

"Standing for the Protestant side was standing for stickin' it to the Holy Roman Emperor."

"The ol' 'dancing girls in the Vatican' problem."

"Ivan IV did not hesitate to kill his political enemies, real or imaginary, and he had some of both... we might question his mental clarity."

A shogun was a "chief barbarian ruling... 'guy'"

"I shouldn't say 'complete peace,' because there's Balkan countries killing each other." This was in reference to the year 1913, the last year of complete peace before the start of WWI.

"Our brain evolved and got big." (yes he said that with a straight face and believed it)

"Canidates are sold as a box of twinkies."

"If you're crazy, it's okay to staple yourself."

"Beethoven was a bridge"

"Its ok to eat someone as long as you don't eat them raw"

"Drug dealers don't card"

"Let's go burn them at the guillotine"
