The Official Christmas thread

Do any of you have something that you really want for Christmas this year?
A DVD of a specific anime movie. =P

But, no money, and I'm not going to go asking for it...that'd be rude.

But if I did have money I could afford to spend, I'd use it to buy presents for friends and family first. I have a blast looking for gifts for them.

Oh, the Christmas Thread. I haven't posted here yet because I don't have the Christmas spirit yet. That usually kicks in a few days or a week before Christmas. But anyway...I don't really have anything that I want for Christmas. It's just another holiday. I do tell Jesus Happy Birthday on Christmas, but I know He wasn't born in December.

The kids are grown so no reason to go all Christmassy there. We'll probably exchange a gift or two amongst ourselves and fix a nice Christmas dinner. I doubt I'll even get a tree. I could, I have all the ornaments and stuff. That might be cool I guess.

Snakes do eat mice.

...

Another summer, one adult garter snake became rather aggressive. It wasn't leery of me at all. So I basically reminded it that it was a guest in the garden, and if it couldn't behave, then in Jesus's precious name, it would have to leave. Didn't have a problem with the snake after that.

That, is super cool. :)

Haha, my family was always one to go all out on presents...my mom grew up that way, so she had us grow up that way.
This year, we can't afford any presents, and it's such a relief. No more pile of stuff I have no idea what to do with. ('Course, I loved it as a kid.)

Anyone have a favorite Christmas present of all time?

Sure! Guns, lol. I remember the wife getting me my first 44 Mag revolver for Christmas when we lived in Florida. I had always wanted one and never been able to afford one. She even had enough heart to just give me the budget and let me go pick it out, so I wouldn't return it for it being the wrong one, lol. (That was great because she prolly would have got me a Taurus because they're cheap.) I opted for a lightly used SS Ruger Redhawk with a 5.5" barrel.

I've got guns for Christmas before (and since!) but none stick out as much as this one did as a Christmas present. I had 44Magitis at the time and even though we couldn't afford it, she made it happen anyway. What a big heart!

Homemade microwavable heating packs for Christmas gifts. They look easy. What to stuff them with?Hmmmm....I don't know I will have to research that.
Apparently you can fill them with dried cherry pits or buckwheat. You can put a few drops of an essential oil with the stuffing.
