The Old Man's Story.
By JAG

Here is what the Old Man told me . . . .

An Old Man, a Christian, 91 years old, was startled by three
murderous home invaders, all in their 30's, vigorous and
strong.

The Old Man quickly reached for his Kabar knife and held it
out towards the three criminals and spoke to them:

You boys give me just about 30 seconds to pray to my Heavenly
Father. "Dear God, you know I am an old man and that my strength
is gone. Please LORD give me strength to defend my home from
the evil these three men seem to be about ready to do."

Upon hearing this, the three men smirked viciously and began to
move towards the Old Man, but after taking three steps they froze
in extreme fright.

Two angels were suddenly standing beside the Old Man, both
with an angry countenance and with swords drawn.

The two angels spoke in unison:

"If the Old Man does not kill all three of you, we certainly will."

The three men, horrified, began to slowly step backwards out of the
room towards the front door.

But just before they reached the front door the two angels stepped
forward and ran all three men through with their swords.

Just before they died, the leader of the three looked up at the angels
and said, "But but you said . . ."

The angels looked at the dying men and replied, "We told you that if
the Old Man didn't kill all three of you, that we certainly will."

Thoughts?

Does the Bible teach that there can come a time when
God withdraws His mercy from certain wicked ones?

[]

My view: We always hope for Mercy and Grace for even the worst
of the wicked, but that is not reality because in many instances in the
Bible God withdraws His Mercy and Grace and His LOVE and provides
His justice.

Just one example among dozens:

"5For this is what the Lord says: “Do not enter a house where there is
a funeral meal; do not go to mourn or show sympathy, because I have
withdrawn my blessing, my love and my pity from this people,” declares
he Lord
. 6“Both high and low will die in this land. They will not be buried
or mourned,
and no one will cut themselves or shave their head for the
dead. 7No one will offer food to comfort those who mourn for the
dead—not even for a father or a mother—nor will anyone give them
a drink to console them."
Jeremiah 16:5 ff

Another:
The Angel of the Lord went out and put to death 185,000 in the Assyrian camp.
