i know very little of the Bahai faith other than its from the middle east. does it have any roots into Zoroastrianism? i have studied that.
Jesus taught ask, seek, knock. this is a big part of how i approach spirituality. i seek and i put my faith in the Spirit will lead me where i need to be. i try not and rely on a group to lead me, groups can be manipulated and mislead, the Spirit can not. if i find myself lead out side of certain groups, i dont worry about it.

i struggled with it for many years but dont worry about it anymore because i simply dont believe it. at the time of Jesus and the 12 there were many othe belief systems going on, Hinduism, Buddhism, Greek thought, Egyptian, Zoroastrianism, etc. i dont remember Jesus condemning any of them. one of the wise men was a Zoroastrian priest, strange a priest from a "religion of the devil" would want to honor the Son of the Most High. there was one religion Jesus was very critical of, Judaism, His own people. Jesus was following the way but His people had forgotten the way. the faith had broken into sects, didnt agree on scripture, had created so many doctrines they could no longer understand the word.

Watch yourself Jaybird. Our hearts are not a pure thing but are easily swayed and convinced by ourselves and by others. What we think is spiritual and good should be put under the test of the bible's authority. If it does not agree and is counter to the things we know and have read, then it can't be from God. It's not from the Holy Spirit. For instance where do we know any of the details of the wise men? We don't know if there were three men or an army of men with a convoy of camels to give gifts to the King of the Jews. All we know is that there were three gifts. But if God directs people He will direct them regardless of where they are or if they are right. Consider that God used Babylon to rebuke Israel, and took Israel's sovereignty away from itself. He didn't use them because they were faithful followers. It could be the same way with the wise men, or it could be that God reached them beforehand and they turned away from the false religon's they were around.

To my knowledge of the bible, Jesus didn't confront any other belief system except the Jews. But that was part of the deal. Jesus would come to the Jews first and then the Gentiles. There are many prophets of the old Testiment that spoke against other religous systems. Again and again denouncing the false idols and the behaviors of other nations that were not Israel. I don't think there would be any reason to worry about the other religions. Jesus taught against hypocracy that was evidant in the Jewish leaders and the teachers of scripture and law. He also taught specific teachings to follow as well. It was not "follow me if your Jewish but follow a different set of rules if your a different religion or different culture." It was "follow me," even to the point of giving up everything else to do so.

Sorry for the critism. But please keep it in mind. You've said a lot to show a good foundation in keeping the bible as the standard and the authority. Don't lose that by accidentally accepting things that were never said, and never known. If you can hold the spirit you feel you are lead by to be accountable to what you read in the bible. More then once I've had to rebuke my own thoughts and the things I thought were leading me because they were in disagreement with Jesus's teachings. In the same way be ready to do the same to anything you feel being lead by.

Jesus was asked:
Luke 10:25
25And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
and Jesus answered:
Luke 10:26-28
26He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” 27And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” 28And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”
So why did Jesus have to die?

Romans 1:19-20 KJV
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed itunto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

So if we can have one outside the religious revelation of God, but not out of the creation revelation of God....

How does he search.
1. Looks into Judaism
2. Cries out to the creator

#1
a. Finds more sin in Israel than his people
But
Finds a solution in Christ Jesus from changed Jews.

#2
a. Sends the person to truth in Christ Jesus
Or
b. Sends someone with the truth to them.

Acts 10 has the clean and unclean of nature contrasted with the shortfall of the Law. Redemption is seen in declaration rather than works.

Acts 10:15 KJV
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, thatcall not thou common.

Redemption and declaration have arrived.

What did that redneck say? Is there any hope for rednecks?

Are you saying declaration is sufficient without works?
Romans 1:19...Is addressing those who had no concept of "declaration" only.

Works of the law were part of the schoolmaster till Christ be come. Acts 10 has a works aspect with Cornelius.

Once unclean animals were declared clean.

I do not have everything neatly done. I do see through a glass darkly. I shares what I be done has.

Romans addresses Jew and Gentile in my estimation. If you only have your groups view of God, then nature is one way to understand what the nature of God is.

Romans 1:18
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Ungodliness = Gentile? (Without God)

Unrighteousness = Jew and Gentile ? (Need faith)
