The Passion Of The Christ

It’s pretty good as far as it goes. It’s a bit too catholic for me though. Same can now be said of The Chosen though. Has become too catholic. Of course, all of the Christ movies don’t want to offend the catholics and so leave out the bits that catholics don’t like.
 
Oh, I didn't know that. I thought he made it like that just to focus on the passion part.

I like the Chosen too. Not up to date but I watched some of them.

He didn’t say he catered to the catholics, but no protestant calls Mary “mother” and kneels before her. I recall Dallas (Chosen) has some catholic backing. I can understand that as they are a powerful financial group. Takes a lot to love truth instead in that case.

IMO, I think it is the greatest movie ever made that actually only concentrates on the portrayal of the crucifixion to show what he would have actually looked like after being beaten with a cat o' nine tails 39 times. This was so severe that every lash literally ripped through his flesh causing so much blood shed, the beatings He received and the crown of thorns that pierced His head as scripture says that He was unrecognizable. I don't like the movies that show a little blood trinkling down His body as Jesus truly suffered and died for all who will believe in Him. Watching this movie gave me a greater understanding of His passion. No greater love then a man laying down his life for another.

Who was the third girl that was there? Both Mary's were obvious but I wasn't sure who the other was supposed to be.

I don't think much of the secular holiday and don't participate in the foolishness. I'm not even making a ham or anything. That's what they want me to do, so I wont, lol.
