THE RAPTURE

There are many questions concerning the catching away of all Christians up to the third heaven. Is it literal or symbolic of something else. When will it happen, beginning- middle – or end of the Tribulation. It is my personal belief that it will happen right after the antichrist stands in the temple of God and proclaims himself to be God.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 this is the first rapture. Rapture number 2 happens in Revelation 14:1 when the Lamb ( Jesus Christ ) redeems the 144,000 from the earth. Rapture number three is for the tribulation Saints found in Revelation 14:14, the man who is sitting on a cloud swings His sickle and harvest the earth. These are my findings, any comments are welcome. Lee

I believe that it will be post tribulation. Believers are "not removed" from the earth before the times of trouble or tribulation but after. Jesus himself said the following:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. (Matthew 24:29-42 - emphasis on Verses 31 & 40-41).

Further information to show the events after the fact rather than before - the dead in rise Christ first, then those believers who have survived:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Um, wow, I never heard that! :gah

Despite the fact that Ephraimsdaughter may be LDS, that position is not strictly an LDS belief.

E'sdaughter.
Well put :clap

Lee,Dont get mixed up.
The only thing happens when the temple is defiled is the church in Judea flees from the face of the beast. They flee unto the mountains. This is not the rapture. It could be said they are being kept from the hour of temptation.

Misfit.
Study to show thyself approved .

That makes a lot more sence Vic. :lol BTW mormons also believe that when the end is near they will all make an exodus to Missouri and they will know when to go by the sounding of all the trumpets held by the golden angel Moroni atop their temples. If your wondering my source on this it's right from the horses mouth an LDS buddy of mine that is also a return LDS missionary that tried to convert me.

What I don't understand is the fact that people act like they don't understand the book of revelation when they do, people will be caught up before it is obvious to anybody that the antichrist is here. And it will happen in like a thief in the night. It will happen when people least expect it. It could happen anyday now, whats sad is some people see this as a game, and don' take it very seriously, sad thing is these same people are going to be left behind. As long as there is talk about it by a large number of people it will never happen, people have to seemingly mock it and forget about it, and we are close to that point. The only thing that is not there is the fact that the history channel keeps talking about it, when it stops and when people in general stop talking about it, and it is seemingly like it was not even written or doesn't even exist, then it will happen. But the history channel keeps talking about it out of conviction, so with all these agnostics and haters of God.
