The Real face of Christ

I haven't seen it. Does the whole premise of the show revolve around the shroud? There's some interesting stuff on the link with technology. But I've never been too caught up in whether this is linked to Jesus or not. Evidence rejecting it doesn't impact my faith, nor does anything supporting it impact my faith.

The whole show does go into all the history and test and such about the shroud, but it takes it one step further. A digital artist and his team attempt to recreate the face on the shroud in 3D digital. It's really cool because if you do believe that it is the burial shroud of Jesus Christ, you get to see what he may have in fact looked like. It's chilling.

My faith does not hinge on this relic either, but I am fascinated by it, and I think it could very well be the burial shroud of Christ. Experts have not concluded that it is fake and there is startling new evidence that have perplexed scientist. Who doe snot like to see a perplexed scientist? :)

Check it out if you can. I think any Christian will thoroughly enjoy the the documentary and the end will make the hair on your neck stand. Who knows, the image they recreated from it, could very well be the 2000 year old image of our lord as Christ. Very cool.

Okay, I'm obviously an idiot. What are you clicking on to watch this video? I think I've tried everything on that page, and I just get written articles.

By the way, I wasn't implying that you rely on the shroud to sustain your faith. I was just saying it doesn't get me all worked up. You've built this video up so much, I want to watch it. Maybe it will increase my interest in it.

Well the history Chanel will air it again. That's the only place I know where you can catch it. It's an amassing work. You might also trying renting it off of Netflix I think you can get the episode there. I highly recommend it if you like documentaries and such. .

The face on the shroud is majestic, and therefor cannot be Jesus. When he was arrested at night, the soldiers needed Judas to make a positive identification.

Of course there is mystery involved because we cannot be sure, however, if the hair is seen, I would have my doubts more so..

does it give the impression of hair, because I don't think that would come through?

Of cores it does. What would an image of Christ be without hair? (A bald beardless Jesus; that's what. :) ) Besides, the shroud itself suggest hair on the figure presented on it.

You have to keep in mind that the documentary is about the shroud itself. The 3D image they created is a collaboration between science and art to do the only things that can be done at this point with the shroud, short of testing it more physically which would mean destroying it further.

It is an interesting relic that we just don't know enough about; 1 because the church will not allow anymore testing on, but the church points out that our faith in Christ should not lean on it. Personally I don't need the shroud to believe in Christ, and I can't say it is, or is not, the image of Christ, but it sure seems to fit. If it was ever confirmed to be the image of Christ I would not argue against it. Mainly because it does not matter.

Here is an interesting link on the shroud if you want to know a little more.

One thing is for sure, it is real in that it exist and it is mysterious in that it can't be explained.

I do a lot of streaming with Netflix. The DVD's are just a bonus :thumb

I've specifically searched for christian documentaries. I'll search for that again. Do you watch The Naked Archeologist? That's a great series.
