the return of dave slayer

since dave has been away and may never return. i will be posting the more humorous things as i have doen yesterday and from time to time i will shake things up, but i wont be as numerous as daves postings were.

well then look for a suprise tonight .
 
Jason, I'm not sure how many users are looking for a return of the slayer much less a person following in the footsteps of the slayer who normally would not...

Please stay Jason.
 
i have no intention of leaving. just livening things up, you may want to check the forum a borg virus caused a topic to be where well you will see. a few drones got whacky darn captain janeway.
 
why? cant i be well goofy too? i am this way, i just let dave do it before by himself. i do joke alot at work and when it feels it ok to be that way.
 
because of all the bickering and arguing over the petty stuff here, i believe this you believe that, i'm right and your wrong. and the ill treatment of the lost at times here and so on
 
I get that Jason, but while Dave was here how often was he Jumping in and challenging others to live the way God has called us to? Humor and light hearted talk is Good, but that doesn't change opinions and character. Daves threads got to issues, but he never really challenged anyone to live for God as much as he challenged us to chill out a bit. Dave's light hearted spirit is missed because we have a ton of people given over to spirit bitterness around this site. However, the thing that is even better than a light hearted post is a post that really chalenges us to live in love Christ taught us to.

Restoring some humor to the site isn't a bad thing, and I'll do my part to stay patient and calm as well. However you and i both know the solution is sharpening each other as Iron sharpens Iron, not just being light hearted in humorous topics, but being patient and kind in topics that have value and just might teach people more about our Lord.

I agree with what you're saying in your post, but I have to say....this site is such a breath of fresh air compared to what's out there. And it's people like you that make it that way. :yes

If you check out some other Christian forums, Dave does encourage new believers and Christians in need, and does not hesitate to pray for them. And I know he also witnesses to people outside.

Anyway Jason, I'm looking forward to your goofy stunts and see if you can live up to Dave's standards !

I appreciate your efforst to lighten the boards up, Jason, but just remember to be yourself. Don't change your humour style, as it is good as it is!


BTW, I've been talking to Dave and he is not returning. It's time for him to enter a new stage in life...without CF.net.

How Dare you go almost 200 posts without being called a moron... People, let's step it up here... :nono ;)

I agree that the site is not as gloomy as others. I mean, if you want to see hate and bitterness be a Christian who goes to an atheist site. Cat, this may not be you, but that site was nasty. However, we have our pockets too. Current events is a rough spot and Apologetics can be too. We had to only allow certain people access to Science after years of people unwilling to act like adults and accept that we can have different views without needing to insult each other.

Are we that bad of a site, No I don't think so. I just agree that some people here are making this board a lot worse than it needs to be.
 
My theory is that Dave Slayer left because he finally ran out of questions to ask. If he can't think of more than 127,452 questions, how are you going to do it? Surely you can't compete with Dave?

i wont spam like that, that was over the top and times. look at the posts. only one outside the humor forum, and maybe one more.
