Aren't they the same thing, only in different languages? I say I'm "going to church" a lot and what I mean is that I am going to a place where Christians are going to meet to worship God. I think that's what most english speaking Christians mean. I'm not sure what you mean by "be" ekklesia, but ekklesia is simply the greek word meaning a gathering of people in a public place. In a Christian context, it's referring to an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting. In other words, "going to church" and "going to ekklesia" mean the same thing."go to" church, or "be" ekklesia ?
According to greek dictionaries, ekklesia simply means a gathering of people in a public place.as far as i know, simply, ekklesia is the ones called out , set apart, by Yhwh, from the world from sin from death, in the body of Christ Jesus in Righteousness and holiness(set apartness) .
i.e. 'born again' believers
not a building(which you may not have meant, but i see ekklesia as "we are ekklesia" who live immersed in Yeshua by grace from and in ABBA) --- one of the very first things i unlearned was that we don't "go to" church, we are church, in biblical terms. the development of the word 'church' (as a building to go to) has ruined a lot of peoples trusting n Jesus and faith to seek Him and live in HIm, and misconstrued entirely the meaning and purpose of Life in Christ Jesus.
"go to" church, or "be" ekklesia ?
This is my Sabbath rest thank You Jesus.
Mat 12:8 KJV For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Heb 4:8-11 KJV For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (9) There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (10) For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. (11) Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Sabbath to me, not some theological explanation or anything, is when you rest is Jesus. I do that on Sunday. We go to church in the morning, have a meal, and then spend the rest of the day just resting, reflecting on the past week, and planning the weak ahead.
