Growth The sin that WILL NOT repent

Without meaning to we often think of some sins as worse than others. Drunkenness, adultery, homosexuality, murder, etc. some sins just seem worse because the result of it is more visible to others. But there is a sin that will not repent, and that sin is pride. This was Satan's sin, the sin of the scribes and pharisees, and the sin of all who will not repent:

Ps 10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

Pride thinks it knows better. Pride sees no reason to repent. Pride thinks it's better than others. Pride doesn't need anyone. Pride doesn't want anyone telling it what to do. Pride wants to decide what's right and wrong. Pride will NEVER repent until it is broken.

Da 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

These scriptures pretty much sums up the prideful of heart. Sin is sin and there is none great than another and all can be forgiven except that of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Pro 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Pro 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
