Son of David - Possesses the Nature of David
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (God with us).
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

One meaning of son is heir, Jesus has made Christian Saints Heirs of God, Heirs of Man, and Heirs of David. Having the nature of God Christian Saints do represent God.
Gal 4:7 Wherefore you (Christian Saints) are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Heb 1:2 Has in these last days spoken unto us (Christian Saints) by his (God) Son (Jesus), whom he (God) has appointed heir of all things, by whom (Jesus) also he (God) made the worlds;
Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
One meaning of Nature, recognizes character identity, therefore through being born again we receive the characteristics of Jesus, as free gifts.
Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us (Christian Saints) exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you (Christian Saints) might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption (through Jesus) that is in the world through lust.

- Rev 19:16 And he (Jesus) has on his (Jesus) vesture (covering garment) and on his (Jesus) thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
