Bible Study The sons of God and daughters of men?

Well Abram told even coached Sarai to tell Abimilek she was his sister . He said we have the same father even though we don't have the same mother , Was he fudging saying technically God is our common Father idk .. Abram was trying to save his skin .. God told Abimilek in a dream ''she is the mans wife'' .. If you go back to the generations from Abram to Noah each of his fathers mentioned other sons and daughters , Terah Abrams father mentions Haran, Laban? and Abram, no other mention of other sons or daughters . Otherwise I see nothing to go on except what Abram said, I think he was being deceptive about impying Sarai was his blood sister and also I think the word Kitha could mean sister/cousin/female kin I think . Even Abram had Ishmael then Abraham had Isaac then other sons and daughters later through concubine , I'm shooting from the hip here so leave me room for mistake.. Actually Ishmael and Isaac buried Abraham together so Ishmaels plight wasn't maybe as dire as Hagar let on, I think Ishmael was maybe spoiled and a mamas boy ..

So you're saying that natural man (Adam's line) and natural women (daughters of men), begat giants?! Uh...no. That can not be. I didn't have giants for kids. Did you? That doesn't happen.

And if you do a search, giants, are all over scripture. Describing them as giants, huge of stature.
The Houston Rockets had two of them on their team when they were i the early years and nicknamed them The Twin Towers. It is in the Geans and no, they are not blue.

I'm pretty hesitant to think this is true. I have never heard of Jonathan Gray before, and I've never heard his name dropped in a Ron Wyatt video. I have a lot of confidence in Ron Wyatt. This has no connection with Ron Wyatt except that the host said that he also interviewed Ron before his passing. That they found what they believe to be Noah's house is circumspect and just finding a huge jawbone doesn't mean it was Noah's wife's. Noah lived for 300 years after the flood? Who knows how long his wife lived, but if Ham's son was nephilim then 300 years is enough time for more of them to be around and die even in the same area in which Noah lived after the flood. So what makes them think it was Noahs wife's?

Ron Wyatt never said anything about finding Noahs house. The ark, Sodom & Gommorah, The site of the Red Sea crossing, and so forth, but not Noahs house. There's so much of this type of stuff out there that we have to be pretty careful what we choose to believe. I've heard some people say that Adam was 450 feet tall too, and I don't believe that either.

I'm not scared of Enoch. Enoch was a very Godly man. So Godly that God took him! So...I believe his book no matter what the naysayers say. It does not contradict scripture and no one has ever been able to show me where it even might. I think a lot of this is deliberate misinformation to make people confused so they don't know what to believe.

Luckily, The Holy Spirit will quicken my spirit when he wants me to know that what I am watching is true. I got several pings of my spirit watching Ron's videos. But who is Jonathan Gray?...I got no ping watching that.
We cool bro, I told you it was not the same video and it was hard to listen to .. I think Ron had found the undisturbed graves/markers and one of his local hires double crossed them, Ron was always upright with authorities and honest . I don't know much about Jon Gray either .

What to believe is super simple but men like to think they know more than God and want to continue to add to it.

God inspired en to Canonize the scriptures.

But to give what credit is due, I have also seen, not, a single man claim God had inspired him to include the texts of Enoch with the scripts of the Holy Scriptures. But again, God has demanded the Saved believe by Faith and faith requires zero conformation!

Genesis 5:22-24

22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.../

Ok, first we establish that Enoch "walked with God" He was a very righteous and Godly man. So much so, that God took him! Now then;

Enoch Chapter 1
1 The word of the blessing of Enoch, how he blessed the elect and the righteous, who were to exist in the time of trouble; rejecting all the wicked and ungodly. Enoch, a righteous man, who was (1) with God, answered and spoke, while his eyes were open, and while he saw a holy vision in the heavens. This the angels showed me.

(1) N.B. The italicized words supply a gap in the text.

2 From them I heard all things, and understood what I saw; that which will not take place in this generation, but in a generation which is to succeed at a distant period, on account of the elect.../

v1, who were to exist in the time of trouble...Jacobs trouble? Time of Tribulation? Last days?
V2 that which will not take place in this generation, but in a generation which is to succeed at a distant period, on account of the elect...

We are a distant generation from the time of Enoch. This book is for us. It did used to be scripture but was taken out (by man). But if Enoch was so righteous, then his book has to be good too. That's where I am on this. I'm not scared of Enoch one whit.

It's not salvific in nature, so there's really no reason to be scared of it.

How tall was the tallest giants in the book of Enoch

I forget offhand, but it was pretty darn tall! I figured it before using what I *think* was Egyptian cubits (which is what Moses would have been taught) and I think it was 18" per cubit.

No, the book of enoch has not been authenticated by the Holy Spirit and I know that because He would get around to all saved men to have them study it. You cannot, even, prove the text is written by Enoch's hand. The text presented is written in the Second Person, not I did (first person) but it is, Enoch did (either second or third person.) Some Jewish person wrote about what he believed Enoch did and not what Good did, that is even the wrong theme for scripture,

I don't quote Enoch because this subject is easily understood from Genesis 6.

However - The book of Enoch is quoted in the New Testament, and in context with this subject.

6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

8 Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; 13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

I am understanding that a cubit was generally cosiidered to be the average distance from a man's Elbow to the tip of his longest finger.

Now, on modern day man, that distance myself averages 18 inches but would not have, of necessity been that distance. It has long been known that man has been getting taller, in the last three hundred years we have grown, on the average, four inches taller, a third of a foot. That means q cubit would have been quite a bit shorter than it is today because your arm span should be the same as your height except that, like myself and my wife you have a Degenerative Spine or some other Bone Loss issue. My height has descended from 6'1" to 5' 11" but my Arm Span should remain at 6'1". Shorter height will also indicate shorter Span and for 6 cubits that is a loss of more than 1/2 of a foot or more. and the Giants are still among us. http://www.thetallestman.com/ and are born of normal people.

That will require my prayer and study to resolve my psition, now. Thank you JLB.

Go to about 19:00 for a minute or 2 then skip to about 34:30 for a minute or 2 .. The whole video if you're interested and have time .

I hear there have been recent discoveries showing 2-3 times as much water in the crust (and some large water deposits deep under North America) of the Earth as all water in the oceans , considering the flood water rose 18 cubits above the mountains it explains where the waters receded to and went imo, maybe land levels fluctuated during the event to rise valleys and lower hills, mighty upheavals, 6mountains displacing oceans temporarily .. I figure and may have seen a suggestion that Earth was tilted to its present axis changing and creating seasons from a Global greenhouse effect before the flood which would explain sudden low pressure, first rain, and exotic plants and animals world wide maybe .. High pressure oxygen and co2 content could help explain 20' tall moose and 2' long dragonflies, other huge animal and plant life pre-flood .. It is said that reptiles grow as long as they live, maybe some reptiles today are dinosaurs cut short by lack of longevity due to drastic environment change .. These are just my thoughts and by no means gospel ..

You have or are developing an intelligent view of what happened. The trouble with intelligent Science and Scriptural Views are rejected, off hand, because that is not what the General Population wants to believe. You're going to be jumped on for using fact instead of the MAYBE of a Theory. They will not listen to the truth.

God bless, brother.

Thank you bro, I take that as a compliment . I had many questions when I was an Atheist, I fasted and prayed for answers to legitimate questions I expect to receive from non believers .. I try to stay within the confines of the Word and within reason of science .. There's some smart/intelligent kids out there looking for a reason to believe in spite of what they've been taught against the Bible and Jesus .. I can preach Jesus and offer reason in science too .. Then love them as I stand ground . God bless you Bro .. Nothing I speak is contrary to the Word or science imo and I still enjoy the marvel of creation .. I can't get out like I used to as my march to my grave seems to have sped up to a jog but I still feel like I can run a 4.4 forty, until I get up .. :lol

I can relate to that. At 72, my MS, combined with my Vertigo (a terrible thing for one that loves flying) as me into a thing I never imagined being and when I stand I need something to lean on or to hold on to. On top of that my Better Half scolds me like a small boy child for banging my head on the floor and it is wood and not, at all like Concrete.
So, go figure.

Do you still fly bro, that sound exciting .. I was looking for an ultra-ultralite a few yrs ago

Wives, aren't they something, well after the first 7 yrs when she was trying to henpeck me .. I'll still throw a grassjumper on her and she knows it :lol

I began with an H13 and ended my crew duties with the Huey. I flew the much more difficult R/C Model Planes and Helicopters but since I am in the wheelchair now I fly nothing, they just sit in their boxes or hang from the wall but I haven't done them as I did with my guitars, I gave them to Churches.

Not sure why the importance in this thread? Angels or no angels its in the distance past and done with.

The whole point of talking about the Nephilim is to be able to understand that God did not bring the flood out of His wrath for sinful man. The flood was a blessing to man, that his seed be preserved, that he may live! For God so Loved the world, that He GAVE His only begotten Son...that whosoever will believe shall not perish but have everlasting life.
