There are 4 people on a plane. The Pope, Putin, Obama and a 10 year old boy.
Lights go on, alarms go off, the plane is precipitating.
There are only 3 parachutes.
Putin says: I'm the most powerful man in the world. I'll take this one.
Obama says: I'm the most intelligent man in the world. I'll take the second one.
The Pope looks at the boy. Son, he says. You have your whole life ahead of you - go ahead take the last parachute.
The boy gets closer to the Pope. Don't worry Sir, he says. We're both going to be saved.
The most intelligent man in the world took my backpack!

Well it's good to see you had the nerve to start your own thread and tell us a joke at the same time.
Now go into A&T and do a thread on anti-christs and let's get the ball rolling.

I didn't start this thread...

I think I'm starting to feel a little better.

You started this thread.
Right now, you are in denial.
You have to overcome this and admit you started this thread.
I remember you started this thread.
I remember you telling me about it.

Um, not to be a noodge, but how does a plane precipitate?

Being a very old aviator I would like to know that one, I just assumed it was meant to be escalating, I have never experienced that one but those that have enjoyed the ride to terra firma on their parachutes.

Lights, alarms, precipitating.
Makes perfect sense to me.
The plane is freaking out and the sprinkler system has gone off. It's precipitating.
It can also mean to bring about hastily a crisis of sorts.

This girl wondering has it all over you guys.
Try to listen up now.

Could be, yep, could be but you have not established that she posted this yet and proved that her young man did not do it.

Wondering is our Sister? Im'a sorry Sister, I thought you was a Brother...

:eek :lol

It precipitates by falling down from a height:

We tend to think of precipitation as rain - water.
But it also means: Falling from a height.

Is there a difference between being a noodge
and being curious??

pre·cip·i·tate
(prĭ-sĭp′ĭ-tāt′)
v. pre·cip·i·tat·ed, pre·cip·i·tat·ing, pre·cip·i·tates
v.tr.
1. To cause to happen, especially suddenly or prematurely: an announcement that precipitated a political crisis.
2. To cause to fall down from a height; hurl downward: "The finest bridge in all Peru broke and precipitated five travelers into the gulf below" (Thornton Wilder).
3. To put suddenly into a certain state or condition: "He was like a man who had never known liberty and was all at once precipitated into it" (Taylor Caldwell).
4. Meteorology To cause (a form of water, as rain or snow) to fall from the air.

Meaning:

The act of casting down or falling headlong from a height

Classified under:

Nouns denoting natural events

Hypernyms ("precipitation" is a kind of...):

drop; fall (a free and rapid descent by the force of gravity)
