Fade Away
A faint voice softly crying
like a child lost in the reign
Being punished to severe
then offered poison for her pain
knowing home is where the heart is
"O" but where can this child go
when the "One" she needs to lead her through
has left her all alone
To fade away
The night has born and raised her
only darkness was her guide
until one day from far away
through the darkness dawned a light
The morning dawned
the light rushed in
and the darkness fled away
The hand that she'd been holding
was revealed there on that day
now before her lies a garden
filled with comfort care and love
and behind her burns a judgment
that has come down from above
the world languishes and fades away
