The Truth About Jesus’ Death

The Truth About Jesus’ Death
It is a long read but the truth must be told completely

"In conclusion, after reviewing all the available written facts concerning Jesus Christ, I find overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ did not die for our sins but was murdered by the Romans, at the request of the local Rabbis in Jerusalem and in return, the revolt against the Roman occupation would stop."

From a strictly human perspective, sure--the Jews had their reasons and the Romans theirs. However, the whole point is that Christ's crucifixion (and resurrection) was God's plan since the very beginning.

Rom 5:6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—
Rom 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
Rom 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. (ESV)

This is just one passage of many that very clearly shows that Jesus died for our sins to justify us, save us from the wrath of God, and reconcile us to him. For one to conclude that "Jesus Christ did not die for our sins," one has to ignore much of Scripture, including how God uses and orchestrates historical events and cultural and religious contexts to achieve his purposes.

Jesus was teaching the Book of Ezekiel which portrayed the Jewish people badly.

The Rabbis wanted Jesus’ to shut up and the Romans wanted the rebellion to stop. Having Jesus killed solved both problems.
the truth, nothing but the truth
So help me God :)-
now comes the stupid, gullible and republicon response"

This is just about as poor a treatment of the facts as I could imagine. Yikes.

None of what is concluded above takes into account the multiple eye-witness accounts of Christ's many miracles, nor his supernatural resurrection from the dead, nor the incredibly transformative effect he had upon his Jewish disciples, all of whom were ready and willing to die for what they were claiming about Jesus (and did, except for John).

Two problems which you also addressed and thanks for the quote so we something to discuss.

1. What God was doing had no connection to any agreement between the Jews and the Romans.

2. The Jews rebelled worse in the decades after Jesus’ death than before so the conclusion is not supported by historical fact.
