Bible Study The Truth About Using Any Form of Contraceptive To Prevent Pregnancy

I think God made sex fun (feel good) because if it didn't, mans (and women's) desire for it would be much diminished.
I wonder why, if sex is only for the purpose of multiplying the species, why did God not make man like other animals? They only breed when the female is in that point in the cycle to get pregnant. Once she is there is no more breeding. The male is disinterested and so is she.

Hmmm, it must have something to do with being created in the image and likeness of God? With being the highest species on earth?

We're thinking, reasoning beings, that use our heart (mind) to make choices.

I wonder...could a man, with his Wife whom he has never cheated on etc., and feeling the liberty thereof, pursue sexual relations with his wife to the point that he began idolizing her and thereby sin?

imo, God is spirit, there is no sexual desire involved with the image of God. But there is relationship.

This is true. What has this to do with biological sexual desires? If sex is only for the multiplication of the species of humankind why would God have made man that he/she would have these desires at times when becoming pregnant is impossible? It seems to me that there must be something else, some other reason.

Would he/she be idolizing him/her or their sexual relationship?
I think one could idolize anything including ones spouse.

This isn't really related to the discussion, but I want to make it clear that I don't mean anything meanspirited. I'm not an argumentative person and often drop out of discussions quickly because of this. I am posting because discussion is fruitful, not to lord my views over everyone else.

I agree. Sex was made pleasurable to ensure that reproduction would happen. Even so, sex within a marriage is very much one of God's blessings that man and wife should not withhold from each other, whether or not they're trying to get pregnant.

How did i know that would be your response
Gosh,I'm a heathen.so is the apostle paul who writes it's better not to marry as well one who isn't married can serve God better.
jaci has met her dad ,nathan has reconciled with his. Both aren't mine.some aren't called to have kids nor marry.it's between them and Jesus.I'm not going to judge those that do marry or dont.same with kids

Do you agree that conception ought not to be prevented with the use of contraceptives?
