The Two Phases of The Antichrist: Man of Sin and Son of Destruction

Give no belief to false words: because there will first be a falling away from the faith, and the revelation of the man of sin (266 ἁμαρτία hamartia), the son of destruction (684 ἀπώλεια apoleia), (2 Thess. 2:3 BBE)

"Man of sin" (458 ἀνομία anomia). The Genitive construction" denotes a man who "is motivated by sin". As "sin is lawlessness" (1 Jn. 3:4), the miracle working False Christ is lawless, he will condone acts against God's law.

The Holy Spirit likely chose "son of destruction" to allude to Judas a "son of the evil one" (Jn. 17:12; 6:70 BBE). Confirming this, Satan is called "Destruction" and "Apollyon" in Revelation 9:11. Like Judas he will be a miracle working Jewish Christian whom the apostate church will hail "is the Christ (Mt. 24:4-5, 23-25)."

At mid-week he morphs into "the son of destruction" the literal "seed of Satan" (Gen. 3:15), revealing he is a hybrid Elohim-human created by the "Designers". His Pompous Mouth (Dan. 7:8, 20; Rev. 13:5) boastfully claims to be superior in nature to all Elohim, that all formerly called God were extraterrestrials thus denying the Father and the Son (1 John 2:18-23).

That is what the prophet Daniel revealed, the Desolator (Antichrist) comes in two phases, first as a friend to the world's religions, but at mid-week he forbids their sacrifices and offerings to God:

And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator." (Dan. 9:27 RSV)

ANTICHRIST

antichristos (ἀντίχριστος, 500) can mean either “against Christ” or “instead of Christ,” or perhaps, combining the two, “one who, assuming the guise of Christ, opposes Christ”-Vine, W. E., Unger, M. F., White, W., Jr. (1996). In Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (Vol. 2, p. 30). T. Nelson.

So the Antichrist has two phases. For 3.5 years he is the "Man of Sin" "false Christ" speaking through a mouth "like a lion" (2Th. 2:3. Rev. 13:2), then he opposes the historic definitions of God speaking blasphemies (Rev. 13:5) pompously exalting himself above them all as the "Son of Destruction" (2Th. 2:3-4) "Seed of Satan" (Gen. 3:15) "Antichrist" denying the Father and the Son (1Jo. 2:18, 22).

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away (646 ἀποστασία apostasia) comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

The great apostasy from God begins in the Christian church when it receives the "Man of Sin" as "the Christ" taking away (05493 סוּר cuwr) the Daily offered to God in Christ, the sacrifice for our sins. The religious apostasy goes global as the Man of Sin morphs into the Beast Son of Destruction. Then everything called God or formerly worshipped as God, is replaced by worship of Adonikam who claims his hybrid human-Elohim nature is superior to all Elohim, regardless what God is called on the earth. That is when he ends all sacrifice to God globally (Dan. 9:27), at "mid-week" or 3 ½ years into his seven year reign.

Respectfully, I have a different opinion, and I'll explain why--not saying you have to agree!

The Holy Spirit did not identify Judas with Antichrist. All who oppose God are "antichrists." Judas was noted as particularly oppositional to Christ because he betrayed him.

I don't believe there is any evidence of this "morphing" from a gentler, kinder Antichrist to an evil, malicious one. There is no biblical evidence of a change from "son of destruction" to "seed of Satan."

The "mid-week" reference was fulfilled, I believe, in the last of 70 Weeks of years that began in 457 BC. The 70th Week of Dan 9 was fulfilled, I believe, as a Half-Week, when Christ was crucified. That ended the prophecy, though it is mentioned that following this Jerusalem would be destroyed, along with the Temple.

So this whole notion of a "7 Year Tribulation" is concocted on a false premise, that the 70th Week of Daniel has yet to be fulfilled, when it was actually fulfilled in the time of Christ. Just my view of it...

The one who ends sacrifice and offering "mid-week" is a reference back to the ruler who will "desolate the city and the sanctuary." That was the Roman leader. It is therefore a Roman leader, Pontius Pilate, who ends acceptable sacrifices and offerings to God by putting Jesus to death. Again, just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Sorry, I can't buy into that. The "apostasy" mentioned in 2 Thes 2 is a reference back to Dan 7, where the "Little Horn," aka the Antichrist, opposes the establishment of God's Kingdom, when the Son of Man is about to return from heaven. That is the "apostasy"--the movement led by the Little Horn to oppose the Kingdom of God and its moral and spiritual standards.

Very interesting this revelation of the Apostle John of the primitive Church of Rome. Who is the Apostle John talking about or to whom is he referring in the verse above?

See, we know that the book of Revelation was showed to John around year 95 AD, i.e. 65 years after the ascension of JESUS to the third heaven. And we know also that there are two distinct Beasts described in Revelation 13:v. 1 to 18. Today, after about 2,000 years, we can and should discern both Beasts will lead two distinct satanic religious systems in near future, but one, the FIRST Man Beast, the Gentile Beast of sea, he already exists for a long time, the another has not yet, but he will manifest in very near future.

In fact one of the two Beasts already exists since ancient time, it has existed for about two thousand years, that is, the Beast of sea-Revelation 13:v.1-10-, and sea=waters means peoples, and nations, and multitudes of all tongues-Revelation 17:v.15-, a satanic religious system developed by Satan within the Roman Empire, after he had corrupted the church of Rome that was established by the Apostles Paul and even Peter, and both were killed by persecution, and thus was developed satanic Antichrist's movements through the corrupt church of Rome, the ancient Catholic Church, later Roman Catholic Church.

Notice that the book of Revelation describes 7 churches, and the church of Rome would be the eighth, but it was left out because the APOSTATE church of Rome was/had been already completely disapproved by JESUS.
In fact, the church or Rome developed a systematic opposition against to the true Churches of the Lord that preached the Gospel of God's Kingdom, preached firstly by the Lord JESUS Christ, and continued by the Apostles and disciples of the Lord, by the way, it is still preached until today.

The satanic religious structures and organizations of the Roman Catholic Church within the Roman Empire, which rides upon the Beast of sea, the Pope, since the confuse election of the first Pope in the first century after Christ, who can be Linus or Clement, and for to increase the confuse election of whom really is the first Pope, then the own Satan, the main leader of the blasphemer movement of Antichrist of the Roman Catholic Church, even he himself, time after, from the late 2nd or early 3rd century, by convention began to consider Peter as the first Pope. It was/is more a satanic blasphemy.

For some time now, I have been posting some comments on the Jewish website Chabad Org, in the topic "Who Is Moshiach (the Jewish Messiah)?", some of which they publish, others not. But there is one of my unpublished comments that they decided to respond to by email, transcribing the content of my comment in the footer of the email, so that I could obviously know what it was about.

That said, for the knowledge of my brothers, I would like to transcribe here the content of the email I received from the Rabbi Shmary Brownstein | Chabad.org, in December 13, 2024, and also the content of my response to the email of him, on "Who Is Moshiach (the Jewish Messiah)?", as follow:

I apologize for the delay in responding to you. Daniel 9:24-27 says: ‘Seventy cycles of seven years have been decreed for your people and your holy city (after which the city will be destroyed and the people will be exiled). This (destruction and exile) will serve to bring an end to the iniquity, and to cease sin, and to atone for transgression, and to bring the eternally righteous (Messiah), to fulfill the visions and prophets, and to aggrandize the holy of holies.

‘Know and perceive from the consequence of this thing (when the true time is) to rebuild Jerusalem, for until the (reign) of the anointed prince (Cyrus) will be seven seven-year cycles (and a bit more); and then for sixty-two seven-year cycles (and a bit more) it will return and be rebuilt, with a plaza and a moat, but it will be a troubled time.

‘And after these sixty-two seven-year cycles (and a bit more), the anointed king will be cut off and be no more; the city and the holy place will the nation of the coming prince (Titus) destroy, but its end will be in a flood (of wrath), and until the final battle (of Gog and Magog) (the city) will be in desolate destruction.

‘(The Roman king) will reinforce a covenant with the great ones (the princes) for one seven-year period; but halfway through the seven-year period he will stop the sacrifices and offerings, and he will raise up the abominable silent (idol), until destruction and ruin will be poured out upon the silent (idol).’

The Moshiach referenced in this passage is not the Jewish Messiah, but the king of the time, who is referred to as one anointed or made great. The first reference is to Cyrus king of Persia, and the second is to Agrippa, who ruled Judea at the time of the Temple’s destruction.

I also apologize for the delay of seven days in responding to you, I must say that I delved on the matter because the Bible is a lovely and enchanting book , full of mysteries and enigmas.

I studied deeply the matter, and here goes what I could understand after having delved in the matter, based in your words above, and mainly in the Bible. So, according to the BIBLICAL Chronology (NOT JEWISH CALENDAR), the fall of Judah's Kingdom was in 3.417 years after Adam.:

3.417 years after Adam: -> Judah is conquered by Babylon - Jerusalem and First Temple destroyed; most Jews are exiled to Babylon.

3417- 3445 - The conquer of Judah's kingdom by Babylon lasted 28 years -->from 3417 to 3.445 after Adam.

3.445 - Babylon is CONQUERED by Cyrus IN FULFILLMENT Daniel 2:39-(Check it). Cyrus's reign lasted from 3445 - 3466 after Adam.

GOD MOVED KING CYRUS TO REBUILD THE TEMPLE (YEAH, ONLY THE TEMPLE OF GOD, ONLY HIS HOUSE)-> Ezra 1:1 to 11.

3.445 - GOD, yes, GOD, aroused up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he issued a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also in writing, saying, The Lord GOD of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and He commanded me to build Him AN HOUSE (A Temple exclusively, that is His House only) in Jerusalem, which is in Judah-Ezra 1:v.1 to 11.

Then the rebuilding of the Temple of Jerusalem is authorized by Cyrus in his 1st year-3445 after Adam - Ezra 5:13 and 6:3. Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit GOD had raised, to go up to build the House of the Lord which is in Jerusalem. And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered-> Ezra 1:1to11.

I would say that it is important to understand that the LORD not only commanded the rebuilding of the Temple, but also He would go to monitor or keep under surveillance the rebuilding by the entire time of the building, i.e. 21 years. This is a profound detail revealed in Daniel 10:13, even MICHAEL went there and remained 21 years to help the rebuilding of the Temple as was commanded by GOD to Cyrus for to do(Check it -Daniel 10:13), maybe because the ruler or Prince of the Kingdom was a Gentile (Cyrus), and Cyrus was between GOD and the people of GOD-Israel- , during the rebuild of the Temple, from 3.445 until 3.466 after Adam.

By the way, some time later the LORD would go to cease/close the kingdom of Cyrus, and hand over the Persian Kingdom to the Greeks- Daniel 10:20-21 combined with Daniel 2:39(check it).

Well, part of the Temple was built in the time of Cyrus, and part in the time of Darius, until the end of the rebuilding. There were many difficulties and even stoppages in rebuilding of the Temple, the House of GOD, despite having been commanded by GOD to rebuild it, impressive. However, the LORD was monitoring its rebuilding of the Temple by the entire time of the building through Michael. By the way, the rebuilding of the Temple finished after 21 years, around the year 3.487 after Adam.

Captivity of Israel lasted 70 years-> from the year 3417 to 3.487 after Adam.

Reconstruction of the Temple ended in the year 3.487.->Ezra 6:15 confirms:-> This House was finished on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of Darius, the king. First year of Darius 3.481+ 6= 3.487 ---> Sixth year of government of Darius.

The period of captivity ended in 3.487 after Adam, then the people returned to the land. What happened to the people of Israel after their return from Babylon to their land? They remained dominated by the Gentile Persian Empire until 3.696 years after Adam, then LITERALLY fulfilled Daniel 9:25, the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in TROUBLOUS times. Why?

Because Israel is dominated by the Gentile Persian Empire until 3.696. And after, Israel is dominated by the Gentilic Greek Empire until 3.880, even in TROUBLOUS times. By allegory, Israel, descendants of Abraham, was like an APPENDIX within the Gentiles Empires. Finally, Israel continued dominated by the demonic Roman Empire. About this demonic Empire, Daniel 7:7 says it be dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the kingdoms that were before it; and it had ten horns. And behold, there came up among the ten horns another little horn.

That said, from the fall of Jerusalem(around 3.417) until the beginning of the Roman Empire, it was around the year 3.880 after Adam. Daniel 9:25-> Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:
7 weeks = 49 years
62 weeks = 434 years => 483 years->First year of Cyrus->3417 + 483 => year 3.900, after Adam
1 week = 7 years => 490 years
First year of Cyrus => 3.417 years after Adam + 490 years(70 weeks) => Total 3.907 years after Adam.

That said, it seems your interpretation don't fit with the Scriptures or with the Jewish Bible. JUST CURIOUS.
