The Unadulterated Word of God

Okay. We are strictly instructed by HIS Word never to add nor subtract from the Bible. How do you even know you are guilty of such a serious offence - when some of us indeliberately teach out of context? I may understand a verse in a different way. Another may understand it in a totally different way. These two may decide to teach others. One person is right and the other wrong or both are wrong. You see? So, for people (newborn babes in the Lord who misapply the Word...are they also guilty)? Thanks in ad.

There seems to be a lot to those don't-go-out-of-context chapters: your inability to comprehend a text - and hence say what you feel is the interpretation versus giving your own logic. Someone said to another: He giveth His beloveth Sleep - God can heal your insomnia.

There's no way not to interpret any text other than a mathematical forumla. So if God isn't okay with us interpreting He would have chosen a different form of revealing Himself.

That's a good question and that is why I use a study guide to help interpret scripture. One may read it one way and another person read's it in another way, that is why there is so much division because everybody wants to be right.

How I am learning to figure it out is to look to see who is writing to scripture or book and also who they are writing to. The only way you can add or subtract anything is if you add your own "spin" on it.

If you are doing it unintentionally and just trying to learn you would not be responsible for trying to add or subtract and if the teacher that is teaching you wrong will be responsible.

I hope that helps...:)
