The Unforgiveable Sin!

We must all share the true gospel with unbelievers.

I agree. However, recently I came across the following....

  • Ezekiel 3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

    Ezekiel 40:4 And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

    Ezekiel 43:10 Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.

    Ezekiel 44:6 And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,

Ezekiel, a son of man, was sent to the house of Israel. There are times those within one's own house can be cantankerous...rebellious even. Those verses say a great deal.

Yes, that is why God anoints teachers and calls them specifically to speak to His people. We are NOT to take up this role without this calling, no matter what our "insight" into the Word.These men are pure in doctrine.

As members of His Body, we are to witness for Him. When He gives us "insight" should we not "teach" what we are shown? If we waited until we were perfect, "pure in doctrine," then...would anyone teach? Does one know when one is "pure in doctrine?" Does one receive a sealed invitation to teach or does the Spirit urge us forward as He gives us "insight?" Is that not the calling to speak?

  • Matthew 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

I am not going to answer you, because you have already made up your mind about what you want to do.

1 Cor. 1
17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

I agree...we speak as the Spirit leads. Who are we to say what God will use?

Then...this is another of the things we must disagree on. Everything I see tells me we are to share what we learn. I don't see anything explaining otherwise.

Thank you for answering the request. I know it will help.

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. KJV

Saul/Paul ministered through the grace of God in Jesus Christ before the holy Spirit commissioned the church at Antioch to set apart Barnabas and Paul.

We cannot control the holy Spirit through a set of rules. He ministers through us as he wills.

Interesting thoughts...
I'll just include my two cents worth as to what I've always believed concerning this issue.

The sin unto death is unbelief.
Mark 16:16b - "but he that believeth not shall be damned."

The Holy Spirit was given to convict the world of sin.
[quote:2npmprnk]John 16:8-9 - And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me;

When a person's heart is so hardened they are beyond repentance, they will no longer be able to be convicted by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, blaspheming the Holy Spirit is a denial of the power of God culminating in unbelief.[/quote:2npmprnk]
Hi, you are close in defining this as I see it. But just an extra for being right on target, ok? In Rev. 3:16-17 God finds NO problem with their doctrine. (the whole fold even!) In fact God even say's that they say that they are increased in goods + RICH! (spiritually) And He gives NO REBUKE for that claim.

And NO, they DO HAVE SOME LOVE.. proving that they were Born Again believers. And the ONLY PROBLEM found here is their AMOUNT OF LOVE FOR CHRST! HOT, or even COLD is see better than this whole fold of Lukewarm ones. There is just NO MORE that the Holy Spirit can do for the ones in this condition it seems. Think of the STRIVING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT for 120 years wit Noah's preaching, before the Ark's Door WAS SHUT?? These ones of Heb. 6:1-5 say, WHAT MORE DO I NEED, I HAVE BEEN MADE A PARTAKER OF THE HOLY GHOST! And that is as far as they ever go as one reads on. :crying verse 6

If I'm understanding you correctly, I agree... we must press on to the mark of our high calling.
Phil. 3:13-14 said:
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Grieving the Holy Spirit by stagnating isn't good. I sure don't want to be called lukewarm. :shame
Ephesians 4:30 said:
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

We see many examples of us sinners in the Lords Word. And we understand that it is not the one time sin or (+) that is the Sin unto death, (1 John 5:16-17 + James 1:15) but the MATURE OPEN UNDERSTOOD KICKING AGAINST HIM that does it. (false known doctrine included!) How close David came to this, one only wonders!? And another was Saul (Paul) who Christ actually gave him the orders of what he [MUST DO]. In Acts 9. Neither were forced to repent. Yet, they both were at a cross/roads of DECISION! The Book of Psalms followed & David. See chapter 19:13's verse + Pauls many Words of Inspiration as well.

Just think of what Paul might have given up carnally in old Israel? And think of what he had to DO? ALL OF HIS WILL WAS SURRENDERED + ALL of his old self of following satan's garbage. He might even of left a wife there who would not leave all of the John 12:42-43 trimings!?
