Pro 30:5 Every word of God is tried: He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him.

Gen 15:1 After these things the word of Jehovah came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

I don't want to get off topic here, but it is interesting the first time God spoke to Abram, He said He was a shield and great reward, which would seem to be referencing Jesus and told Abram he would have a son, so He was pointing to Jesus with these first words.

Basically, the first "word" was talking about "The Word".

For me, this is all pointing to obedience, we listen, hear, receive, accept, walk, live, speak and become the Word.

It's all about obedience.
