4Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

5For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

6And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.

7So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

8For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Many today in false religon dont believe in the wrath to come, a time when God in christ will Judge mankind for their awful sins..and will reward His Faithful Servants with Eternal Glory..

Rev 11:

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

This time also is spoken of by daniel the prophet dan 12:

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Those who know not God will suffer wrath from Him..

rom 2:

5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

ps 110:

5The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

prov 11:

4Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

zeph 1:

14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

rev 6:

17For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand

rom 5:

9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Paul says in the Text, we have been delivered from the wrath to come ! Who are the we ? Look at verse 4

4Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

Only the election of God, the election of grace..

Right before the great judgment and wrath to come, Jesus will first gather up His elect..Matt 24:

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

Are you an elect today ? Do you despise the doctrine of election ? Chances are then, you are not elect if you despise and reject this blessed truth from God..

Those who reject this Truth, chances are, you have not been delivered from the wrath to come..

And many fall for the lie that the Great Tribulation that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 24 is the wrath of God and the church will not go through that time period on earth; but they will, as the Great Tribulation is the wrath of satan against the elect of God. God gathers his elect after the Great Tribulation, and then unleashes His wrath upon the unbelieving while the marriage of the Lamb and His elect takes place in heaven. The Scriptures are so very plain on this teaching that it amazes me how anyone can believe such a farce.

We are currently in the great tribulation, and at its end..the next thing to occur are the events in matt 24:

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

A guiding principle is in this testimony of the Spirit through the apostle Paul and James the servant of Jesus.

Rom 4:15
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.KJV

James 1:19-20
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.KJV

Every man's hand will be against his brother.

YOu are serioulsy mistaken concerning the chronological order of events that will consummate the end of this earth age.....

You cannot suggest we are in the great tribulation because satan has not yet arrived on the earth...along with many other things.....

You are correct. The Great Tribulation is yet to come. It comes AFTER the abomination of desolation is set up proclaiming himself as God.

We are already in the great tribulation, the aod is what we see now in apostate religon..the true gospel is no longer in the local congregations..

Another reason we are NOT in the Great Tribulation: No third Temple.

:naughty be careful,,,,Im not saying your wrong,,,heck you might be right,,,but remember the word "temple" might not be refering to a actual building....

Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up
Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
But he spake of the temple of his body.....

Ok Lets just get straight to the issue....

The AOD is not what your describing it to be.....THE aod or "Abomination of the desolator" is satan standing where he ought not,,, claiming to be Jesus Christ,,,,saying there is no need to take communion anymore in the rememberance of Christ because he is Christ returned.....

We can pull scripture if you would like.......Also there is a differance in the tribulation of satan and the tribulation of God,,,2 different time periods,,,,it sounds like you believe we are in the final tribulation,,,which would be Gods tribulation,,,,how can that be??????????

satan has not arrived yet and satans tribulation is first......We can pull scripture on this also :shrug

I will also have to respectfully disagree on the stated chronological order of events.

Matthew 24 is referring to the Great Tribulation and the second coming of Jesus. Not the Rapture. The reason we know that the Great Tribulation is the wrath of God, is because it is also referenced in Revelation 3:10. This verse also shows that the Church will not be here for the Great Tribulation: "..., I also will keep you from the hour of testing,..."

Rev 3:10 (NASB) 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

1 Thessalonians also refers to the Rapture that spares us from the wrath of God.

1Th 1:10 (NASB) and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

Also the wrath of God is mentioned in Isiah 13:9-13, where I interpret "burning anger" with "wrath of God."

(NASB)
Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, Cruel, with fury and burning anger, To make the land a desolation; And He will exterminate its sinners from it.
Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises And the moon will not shed its light.
Isa 13:11 Thus I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.
Isa 13:12 I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold And mankind than the gold of Ophir.
Isa 13:13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, And the earth will be shaken from its place At the fury of the LORD of hosts In the day of His burning anger.

I cannot find any mention of, or interpretation of, the wrath of Satan in End Times prophecy.

I do agree that the Lord will gather is elect after the Great Tribulation, but I believe these will be the Tribulation survivors who have come to believe in Jesus as their Savior.

I have great respect for you Solo, but I do not see what you see so plainly in the Scriptures. I will not say you are making it up, but I do believe you may be interpreting it wrong.

I hope we can at least agree that by believing in Jesus, we are saved and will both worship the Lord in Heaven, no matter what chronological events unfold.

I am pretty sure the third Temple is a physical building.

How else would the Anti-Christ prop himself up in it and proclaim himself God?

But I do agree that you have to be careful when referring to the Temple, and know if you are talking about Jesus, a tent, or a brick and mortar building.

Good question,,,,well from one standpoint I can say we the believers are the temple for we are the body of Chirst,,,,,but then how does satan stand in the temple if the temple is us???????

Satan reigns supreme in the local churches even as we speak, the aod is now, you are seeing it right now, but you dont understand it..

The saints enter the kingdom through much tribulation, and we [ the elect] are now in the great tribulation, the next thing to occur is their rapture, to meet the Lord in the air, and then the great white throne begins..

We are saved because we believe in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Believing in the "doctrine of election" has nothing to do with whether we'll go through the wrath of God or not. I'm still shaking my head that you'd even make such a statement. :rolleyes2

Glad to see there's brethren here after all that well know Christ's Kingdom is yet to be established on this earth like God's Word says it will be.

There actually is an idea written in God's Word about a time of Satan's wrath upon the saints...

Rev 12:17
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
(KJV)

That word "wroth" is 'orgizo' in the Greek. It's a Greek form of 'orge' which is the NT Greek word for God's wrath upon the wicked.

And notice the subject flow prior and during that time of the dragon's wrath against the saints...

Rev 12:6-12
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

There's the 1260 days, which is about the tribulation timing from the Book of Daniel (Dan.7:25; 12:7). There's a reason why that 1260 days timing is given at this point in Rev.12; it's about the subject flow of the tribulation upon God's people by the dragon.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

There's an even bigger reason why the subject of the war in Heaven with Satan and his angels being cast down to the earth, appears at this point too in Rev.12. It's to serve as a warning to those on the earth.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

And yet again, there's a big reason why these who overcame the dragon by the blood of The Lamb is mentioned next. The woman protected for 1260 days, war in Heaven, Satan and his angels cast to earth, saints that overcome him through Christ Jesus, that's the order of events given here so far.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.(KJV)

Now the subject flow is: The woman's protection for 1260 days, war in heaven, devil and his angels cast to earth, saints that overcome him through Christ, the devil's great wrath upon the unbelieving and the saints, and that wrath lasting a short time.

For those paying attention to our Lord Jesus there (through His servant John), He just told you who the final antichrist is going to be, even where he (devil) will be coming from, and, that he will only have a short time to perform his wrath upon the unbelieving AND the saints that overcome him through Christ.

Thus the tribulation timing is definitely about the time of the devil being cast down to this earth with his angels, and a time of his great wrath upon the saints.

Glad to see there's brethren here after all that well know Christ's Kingdom is yet to be established on this earth like God's Word says it will be.

Gods kingdom has been established by christ already, it was a spiritual kingdom ..Jn 18:36

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Gods kingdom that has been established by Jesus christ, will be manifested on earth shortly, but its a present reality..

Established among His Body, yes, I agree, but not per the world to come, which is of course, a different world to come. I often used the concept of 'earth ages' to describe the difference, an idea that comes from 2 Peter 3.

The Only Kingdom God has is the one Jesus is ruling now ..it will be manifested soon..1 cor 15:

24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Christ is reigning now in His Kingdom which is Gods Kingdom..
