The Writing Is On The Wall

Our time here in Hawai'i seems to be coming to an end. The City of Houston removed all tax exemptions and we owe $6k. We have to return to get the exemptions reinstated. The DPS is dragging its feet in granting me a Texas Driver's License and keeps demanding more documentation. We have to return for that to be settled so the taxes will not be settled until that is. The electric bill continues to climb on an empty house. We have to return to take care of that. The publisher continues to drag their feet on my book so we can't count on that until the holidays. We can't last that long. Our stimulus checks are spent on taxes before we'll ever see them. Now Hawai'i wants $1k income tax. We just can't survive here financially. We will go back in a couple of month.

Are you still with your agent Dan? Would they be able to push the publisher for you? If I remember right they promised the book would be out by Easter.
Perhaps you could be writing for magazines to help get you by, but that might stop your benefits?
Praying your publisher will get a move on.

They imply a date then drag their feet. The dates I think they will release the book are not dates they promised, but are my best guess as to the information given me. Those oppressing us claim I am faking my disability and claim they want me off disability yet their actions betray them.
My agent was replaced by a supervisor who stonewalls every step now. I went with Christian Faith Publishing. I don't think I would recommend them or use them again unless they're a first time author and have no pressing need for their book to meet a timeline. They're tactic seems to be to wear an author down until a mediocre product is ultimately approved by the author due to a very weary process full of delays. The editing department became adversarial so I grew tired of them and "approved" the work so the book could finally move forward. This cover design stage is also disappointing at best. Each change taking weeks when it could be done in days.....even hours. This next design must be approved regardless of what they present. They will drag it out too far if I don't.

When we return to Houston I will no longer be involved in personally promoting my book. It would be a pointless waste of time. Instead I will concentrate on exposing the massive cover up/oppression experienced by victims of the Episcopal Church/Boy Scouts in Texas. I will begin work on my auto-biography. I feel I have nothing left to lose. I tried to literally leave it all behind and try and kick start my life, but the tongue of the dragon wrapped us up and is pulling us back. Now I will try and save as many kids as possible and strike them with truth and present myself as a martyr to these psychopaths.

Sounds tough to me. And complicated as well.
I've never been to Hawaii but often wonder what it's like. I lived in Japan for 15 years. Japanese used to love going to Hawaii for vacation.

Hawai'i is great for tourists. It can be good if you have family/community to fall back on/rely on. It can also be good for the wealthy. We don't fall into those categories. On the dark side, Hawai'i has a lot of homeless, drugs, crime, corruption. On the good side, a lot of christian/aloha love for each other. They cared for my wife during her chemo like she was family. It is very expensive here and is the main reason we can't stay. We can't support two households. They refuse to list the house in Houston and demand we hand it over to house flippers for pennies on the dollar. This we won't do. So back we go.

When God brings us to something He will always see us through it. I'm not sure what God is bringing you to do, but always seek Him first before any decisions are made as that way you will always remain in His will and best interest for you and your family.

It always seems like within the perils that brings us to the edge almost falling over the edge that God let's us get to the edge, but then saves us from falling off. At least it is like that with my husband and me. I had to learn to praise Him in the good times and even more so in the bad as He will always see you through. Keep praising Him with uplifted holy hands and He will rescue you like He did with Daniel in the lions den. Keep claiming your victory over the enemy as the battle belongs to the Lord.

God bless and praying for you and your family :pray
