There are only 2 kinds of Christians: spiritual and carnal.

The more we divide over denominational particularities, doctrines, practices etc....the more we show how carnal we really are. There is true unity, but only in the Spirit.

"For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?"

How many walk as spiritual in Christ?

"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted." Gal. 6:1

The spiritual ones are to help the carnal ones. Just as our Lord helps the needy ones, so ought we.

There's no such thing as a carnal Christian, only carnal people who believe in Christ. The demons believe, but are not Christians. A Christian is a follower of Christ and the Spirit, not of the flesh which is carnal (Gal.5:16-6:8; Rom.8:1-13). If a Christian has stepped off the road that is narrow, it is only due to unforgiveness, hatred, unbelief, and/or sin. All of which is a ceasing of following Christ, even for a moment, which means they are no longer a Christian, for the ways of the flesh will not lead anyone through the narrow gate, even if they've been on the narrow path (Lk.13:24-27; 1 Cor.6:9-10; Gal.6:7-8; 1 Pt.4:1-19). One must repent, for this is the only way to start following Christ when past sin is held against you (Eze.18:20-32; Lk.13:3, 5; Jn.3:1-7; Rom.3:25; 6:16-23; 1 Jn.1:9).

so will you now cease your divisive spirit and accept the Trinity as being the very doctrine of the Scriptures....? The very truth of God....? Are you now carnal if you fail to do this....? Or are only those who disagree with you carnal?

blessings.

Carnality denotes the origin of a thought or action. Doctrinal correctness is not necessarily a good indication of the carnal/spiritual split. Dividing over it quickly surely is.

Of course this thread is not about the Trinity doctrine. You are using this as an example I presume.

We do not become spiritual by agreeing about anything in the flesh. Even if we are correct on an issue the truth is beyond the grasp of human beings. Christ is truth. A person can be spiritual and not yet aware of certain things. A carnal person can be informed about spiritual things without the reality of them in his life.
