I only just learnt about this and my blood is boiling. Our state premier needs to come out and condemn this action.

He decided to make a statement saying that he won't comment on the high courts decision to acquit Cardinal George Pell but that he believes the "victim". What absolute rubbish, there was no victim. How about the 405 days that the Cardinal was falsely imprisoned, he says nothing about that...

Our premier, Daniel Andrews, needs to come out, like ScMo has, and firstly tell everyone that the decision of the high court must be respected and accepted. He needs to show empathy for the Cardinal and everyone who spends time jail over a false accusation. And finally he needs to strongly condemn this action...

But I don't think he will. It is so corrupt here and our state government is so anti-Christian. Our cops were even advertising for anyone who had a sexual assault complaint against Pell to come forward. Then did everything in their power to discredit this man. They fabricated stories, fueled the public hate with false statements and even influenced the courts.

It had to come down to the highest court in the country to overturn the decision of a jury that was drunk on public hate of the church.
It is an unprecedented decision move for our high court to make such an overruling, it's never been done before.

There were seven experts on the high court panel, all of which agreed that Pells conviction was incorrect
All of them agreed to overturn the decision. Now there needs to be an investigation as to how and why this was allowed to happen.

So now I have serious doubts about the validity of all the convictions that priests have received in the past.

I have serious doubts about all the allegations that have been made against priests

I also have serious doubts of our justice system as it has shown to be very easily influenced by radical left wing politics

I have serious doubts on the reporting of our mainstream media

I have serious doubts of our police force

I have serious doubts of our police prosecution

I have serious doubts of our state government

I have serious doubts about our society

I really don't understand most of what's going on but I share your anger believe me. As when somebody goes and does that to God's house it absolutely makes me sick!! :mad

Whoever did that is just a moron that is miserable in life. People can have there opinion but to go out and do that to a religious building is just disrespectful. Just an idiot , they write "no justice", so they like justice, hopefully they get caught and get the maximum sentence possible because they like justice.

And I see it from the other end. I am sick of sex cults masquerading as churches and giving them immunity from accountability on a social/civil/criminal level. The Episcopal Church in the US is a farce dealing in childhood sexual assault on a scale beyond comprehension. The copmafia in Texas harasses victims. Informants intimidate with death threats. Getting it to stop requires evacuating the state. And then spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder wondering if those in collusion with clergy pedophiles are following still.

The type of accusation brings out all types.
Some are sure that all catholic priests are guilty regardless of the facts.
Others who have known personally catholic priests don't feel any of them are guilty whatsoever.

And the truth is probably somewhere in the middle of all of it. A few bad apples doesn't spoil the whole bunch.

But this sort of thing brings about high emotions for a lot of people. Mainly because of the abuse suffered at someone's hands.

For whatever reason the Church seems to attract people who have mental health issues to begin with. Then some of those who enter into the Clergy also have emotional issues. Together it makes for a huge mess to try and control.
Then some of those people see the wealth that the Church has with it's fine buildings and ornate structures and breathtaking interiors and they want their money...even though the money belongs to God.

I have truly enjoyed touring old cathedrals when I have traveled. The artwork by the craftsmen is simply breathtaking.

And for whatever reason people seem to forget that destruction is so easy...construction is much much more difficult. It takes absolutely no talent whatsoever to kick over a sandcastle...but it can take hours to build one. Same thing goes for a church. It takes decades of hard work to build a church, secure finances, and begin the slow work of employing fine craftsman to build a church....All to have it ruined by some wackanoodle who gets upset.

In several places in scriptures it talks about not speaking ill of our leaders. Even the heathen leaders. Even when our leadership fails. And politics forgets this. No one thinks a thing about slandering anyone at anytime if they are in the public spotlight. People feel empowered when they destroy something that took decades to build. Instead of awed at all the good that an institution has done over the years...they wish to simply destroy it because they feel wronged by someone at some time...transferring their hate to the wrong people at the wrong place at the wrong time.

But there is a thing...
Don't Touch God's things! Its bad luck.

Yeah, God is very zealous for his things...we get to clean up the mess but God gets the vengeance...and where his wheels of vengeance grind slow...they grind so very fine.

And look at it this way....
This generation gets to build some new doors for the church. Its a fine old church cathedral...and every generation wishes to add something to it.
Now you got the opportunity to be a part of that.

Idiots exist in the world today. The sooner you learn that the better off you are even though it's really rather sad that things like that happen. Especially since I love looking at churches. Especially really old ones.

St Patrick's Cathedral, Melbourne, was completed in 1897
But the builders stuck with the Gothic style architecture

St Paul's Cathedral in the city is really nice Gothic style, it's Anglican.

But my dream is to tour Europe, campervan style.
And part of that is architecture which off course involves churches

1897 is young ,locally,while the original church isn't around the church is.a few going back before that

There are a few old churches on the squares in a few of the old Soviet bloc countries as well...breathtaking.
When in Slovakia (Banska Bestricksa...or however you spell it) the city's square was breathtaking in architecture and they had two old churches there.
Austria also has some of the finest architecture going on as well.
But also if you can do cave diving...Slovakia has old opal mines that are one of the finest to go cave diving in. All those gem remnants on the shafts...they just glow when the lights hit them.

Gothic ,these can be Catholic or Baptist ,Methodist ,lutheran ,and even a synagogue .the oldest synagogue in America is in a French gothic edifice in savannah.

Locally I have photos of the old Methodist church in Okeechobee ,gothic ,the st.marks ,Anglican,not old but very gothic,the older trinity church original sanctuary ,gothic ,also Anglican,the older but gone ,called preachers gothic of first Baptist ,and grace Lutheran church,identical in style and stood facing each other .

If there was a victim and they were denied justice, then I imagine their pain to be many many times yours. This type of crime much more often than not go without justice for the victim. These victims of childhood sexual assault are God's much more than any building. Christ warned about sins against children. There is no Christ-centered warning about buildings. Portraying perpetrators as victims and victims as perpetrators is ludicrous, but is done as a matter of practice to keep clergy looking squeeky clean. The only people who really know if this sin is one that was actually committed would most likely be the adult pedo and the child victim. This is why these cases often go with no justice for the victim. If this crime was committed then the wrath of God awaits any clergy responsible right along with their colluders. Blaming the victims is the tried and true tactic that works like a charm every time. This will end upon the Return.

It is a joke the time some people start accusing. There should be a max time people can report something. And if people get caught lying on false accusations they should recieve the max penalty behind bars.

In my serious opinion a false accusation is equal to the crime itself. Nothing is worse than a false accusation. Even God put it in the Big 10 that's equal with murder.

If it was overturned and he was found innocent then it should be turned around and now the accuser goes on trial for false accusations. It means he was falsely accused.

That's the way it rolls. Accusers always get a free pass. Anyone can give a false accusation and get a free pass. It's a joke. False accusations can destroy innocent people's lives.

On a side note I'm not specifically talking about this case it's just a general comment when someone is accused and then found innocent. Everyone has the right to a fair trial.

Someone who gets falsely accused and goes to prison for 20 years that false accuser should be in prison for 20 years.
