Alan Shepard was a Navy veteran who became a naval aviator and test pilot and commander of a crew who went through extensive training and was selected by NASA, and he walked on the moon. He did not go on a barely 11 minuite ride from take off to landing with 2 days training and basically only had to know and learn how to put on and take off a seatbelt for a quick ride. He went on a journey as a real astraunaut and gets credit.

What do you mean by faked?. The trip itself was not fake and is not really that high they went and just a entertainment ride for the rich, but the door opening sure looks like it was faked. Real astraunauts train hard and go through extensive training and they commanders and engineers and scientists who go on missions to space and are there for a reason. Every astraunaut has some type of extensive training behind them that contributes to the space mission.

Going on a rich mans joy ride to the edge of space and then coming back within 10 mins to try get praised as making history and called a astraunaut is a complete joke. It's disrespectful to try steal other peoples credit that can call themselves an astraunaut who trained hard and done time in space.
