Have any of you Brother's or Sisters ever got on here on the forum...and had a pending question in your mind, or needed confirmation on something, and had it answered or confirmed by reading someone's post?

I've had lots of my questions answered before, that God wouldn't answer from prayer, from cracking open His Word...and there it is, speaking to me, answering...but not the forum.

The last three days in a row this forum has answered answered confirmed things for me.

Not people talking to me, but posting about themselves...but when I read it...ding! The light comes on. Weird, or at least previously unheard of by me.
This forum is blessed.

Anyone else ever experience this?

This forum has been great for me. I've learned to care about other people, pray for other people, and listen to what more seasoned Christians have to say ((no, really...I listen now, lol)).

I've learned about different perspectives...OSAS, TULIP, etc. I've seen (from a distance, of course...) how different people interpret Scripture and how The Lord works in other peoples' lives.

I've even learned to think more Scripturally (is that a word?) about life, which is the core of building a solid Christian Worldview.

Numerous have been the times when I've had something answered or confirmed by reading another member's post, Edward. The first time it happened was on the first evening I was here at CFnet as a non-member, just exploring the site before joining. The second time it happened, again, I was exploring CFnet before joining. The third time? Yes, as a non-member exploring, which prompted me to join up.

It's such a blessing when these happen!

The ultimate for me was when after reading scripture I went for a walk along the beach and was thinking and I seen this little stone and it had 'be in the world not of the world' with the chapter and verse written on it. The odds of randomly coming across that single tiny little stone on a massive beach was one in a million. Its amazing because the person who wrote it would never have any idea I read it.

I've learned from the perspectives on this forum, and other forums. But it has been some time since anything anywhere has specifically jumped out at me and the Holy Spirit has confirmed things for me. I recall that happening with things like music, sermons, the radio, etc. I need to get back to that point in my walk with God.
 
Not sure how many others went through the same as me but I come to the faith on my own, it was just me and scripture, I had no comunication with any believers and it was scary, completely terrifying. I felt alone, so that's why when I found the stone with a written note it was important to me.

Now I'm all good, it was the first few months. I didn't even know where I was.

Picture the rapture and your the only one left behind with unbelievers. That is how alone I felt in the faith as a confused newbie. I mean God was there in spirit but I was like Adam with no Eve. I know how Adam felt walking around on his own.

I know exactly what you are speaking of. It was like, "am I the only person who knows God in Christ loves us?" There are so many voices that say otherwise, in the churches.

I was fortunate to be alone however. I devoured my Bible, daily. I could not get enough Word. It was my spiritual lifes blood. Probably read through the entire Bible, cover to cover at least a half a dozen times in the first 6 months. And through the N.T. countless times. Just countless. His Word is so imbedded in me from this "aloneness." I was not "swayed" by other directors.

Then came more separation. When the church I was in at the time said to kiss the feet of a statue of Jesus, I left them. When a certain sect of the pentacostals said I had to believe their "Jesus Name Only" doctrine, (it was a half a day stay) I left them. When the 'name it and claim it crowd" demanded that I fork over money to them to "buy" Gods Blessings, I left them. When the fervent old holiness believers demanded I condemn other people, I left them.

But God in Christ, from that very first time He reached inside my heart, and loved me, and I felt His Love and knew His Spirit was in me and with me, NEVER left me through my journeys. Looking back, I feel sorry for many, for them all having forgotten the most important thing about faith in Christ.

Galatians 5:
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

How easy, we forget.

I can't say that I've prayed about something and then come on the site and find the answer.

What I can say though is that even after praying about something or thinking about somethig I just don't get or understand I have posted a question and had the question(s) answered.
 
Yeah it was a fairly strange thing for me, having specific things answered for me third party here. Stuff I had prayed about, and then I got on here and a Brother was recounting a story about himself and...Ding, there was my answer about what I had prayed about within. Three days in a row in fact.

That wasn't a coincidence, it had to be God answering me through him.
One specific Brother for two of them and another the third time. Both respected Brothers on the board. Well, by most lol.
 
Similar for me in scripture. Any question I was thinking whatever scripture I next read had the exact answer I was looking for, the forum is good for more wisdom and knowledge from matures in the faith, the meat eaters who know there references so I can get a better understanding.

Its not coincendence every time without fail the next scripture I read answered had something to say about what I was thinking. Yea the world probably thinks I'm a fruit cake, but I don't care, I believe in a Most High Creator.

The Bread/Word of Jesus is meant to be "broken" by Jesus, given to disciples, and distributed among the people, to be shared with everyone.

John 6:48
I am that bread of life.

Mark 8:

This is how Jesus "works."
