This one thing I know . . .

Thanks Stove - and again I agree. Your comment about the purpose of God being beyond comprehension has caused me to reflect on something the Lord showed me some time ago.

It was of an orchestra and God was the composer and conductor. But this composition was like no other. It was a masterpiece being played from the beginning of time to the end. Each instrument was being played precisely as He determined and each member of the orchestra seemed to be playing as extensions of His hands. Some members played less and some more significant parts according to the composition and each according to the instrument given them. Each and every musician was attentive to the conductor as though nothing else mattered and while each was played in symphony which the others it was only their instrument which seemed to exist.

But what impressed me most was that the masterpiece was quickly reaching a crescendo. It was almost complete and it seemed as though at any moment the conductor would make a final sweep of his hand and lower the baton. The intensity of the music was captivating, the pace was quickening but none seemed know when that moment would be.

So vivid was the impression of the crescendo that it has remained with me ever since.

Fantastic visual Mutz! Thanks for sharing! (I really mean that)

Ian,
As usual, nice followup. Your always a blessing.

Mutz,

Once again, your imparting of The Spirit is worthy of acceptance. All would do 'well' to heed the wisdom in your words and offerings, (patience and perseverance as well. This being something that I continually benefit from and continue to use your example of to attempt to 'gain MORE. Your example is inspiring).

Thanks brothers for your encouraging words. Time forbids me to post at length right now but suffice to say that you have each been a blessing to me in your posts.

The Lord bless you

ditto brothers... ditto

Just thinking out loud, but you know, when I teach the teen class, I have a tradition where I have each person tell me one good thing about their week and amazingly, it's hard for some of them to come up with anything.

Scripture is full of encouraging words because I think Christ knew we needed encouragement from one another.

Thank you.

The Lord said to his disciples, "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

I know that His saving grace is amazing, and undeserved. (I am very thankful)
I know that I believe Him.
I know that there is still a lot for me to know.

Neat thread, the Lord bless.

I know that the more I seem to ask myself, "Do I believe" the more doubt creeps in.

I know that I need to look to Jesus and the cross rather than inward.

Yes, amen that.
