I read where a woman somewhere in the USA chased a burglar from her home and ran behind him..pinning him down until the police came.

Would you have done this. I doubt. Would be glad that he had ran.. I would call the police. I think it is a dangerous thing running after a criminal, what if he had a gun (she had no way of knowing.)

Such a criminal is called a weeniecrim. Don't be a hero - unnecessarily.

I don't think I would ever chase a burglar once they left my property. Just not worth it... I'd call the police, but I wouldn't give chase.

However, if instead of a burglar trying to get my stuff, it was a bad guy hurting one of my kids... he could never run fast enough or far enough to get away from this mama grizzly.
