From reading your post Jason seems things a bit better then there were.

can you prove that they at the dallas seminary didnt act and the supreme court decided on roe v wade

Roe v. Wade

and while i understand why you dont like df thinking, please pull the plank first isnt there a law in oregon that the church needed to fight something that is called assisted suicide?perfectly legal

you are speculating on that case in dallas and that the local churches didnt care.unless you have proof.

i could do the same with your church or any of the churches in oregon.
so lets drop oh america is bad because of the df alone thing. reformed churches surely havent died off. i listen to a one of those daily.

we have some in my hometown.

I was reading some stuff via the drudge report this AM.

I am so very thankful God put me here in the USA... Those poor muslim women....What women around the globe endure for being women is just plain ugly.

Christianity has dome MUCH to elevate the status of women!

that is because of a christian man called william wilberforce in england. he was the only one bold enough to do what he did, his works came over to america almost fifty yrs later.

and dont think racism in the church is dead. its not. i know of only white and only black churches in my town.:bigfrownmy country didnt desegragate until 1974.

many of the older black folks were beaten for being out a night and also arrested for being in the "white area" during the night.one of my bosses was such indivual. nice guy will help you any day or night. not a bone in his body of hate.

and i am not saying that hitch is wrong, just putting in perspective. thats all. i have never seen america as some shining perfect beacon.

remember even in america my name was hidden so that we could get jobs and that still goes on today amongst the jews. i learned that last week sadly.

but yes we have come far.

Christians are to be the salt of the world,we are to influence the world for good(if possible), in the last 60 years the influence of the church for good in American has went down because the church has followed the world in many cases, accepting sexual deviation, worldly music, materalism. There are still solid christians but they are becoming harder and harder to find. We are on a downward trend not upward at this time, hey it may change,I hope so.

I lived in an area where the black folks were robbing and raping on most nights and the police were afraid to arrest them for fear of being called racists, so racism is racism regardless of which side is doing the racists acts.

sam21 they are there, just gotta look.

i cant point you to some solid teachers of today if you like.

yes, it has waned. but that or this isnt the first time compare manifest destiny with this statement from john winthrop founder of the puritan colony in mass.
Freedom: A History of US. Webisode 3: Liberty for All? Segment 2 | PBS

and one roger williams said it was wrong to kill the american indian and force them to worship god.

so this isnt the first time we christians have strayed.

Hitch says:
It looks like you're saying the kingdom is indeed larger, but Im never sure with you

Elijah here:
The problem with mankind is that they do not know how God Judges one. Do you suppose that [you] would see as God does in Luke 12:47-48? Yet, He is CLEAR as can be!

These professed ones surely look great to most? And Matt. 10:5-6 are [THE LOST] who in verse 15 finds God judging them to be worse than S.& G.. Yet, in todays judgement by mankind, these would be great neighbors. :screwloose

Consider that you might not like the response when you ask a question.

sigh hitch the evil that men do in the name of christ seldom suprises me. i may be younger then you but i have been hated by christians when i was into a certian sin.

i merely wanted to know if you had evidence. and so far you havent stated or posted proof therefore till otherwise i take it as a grain of salt.i'm sure if i listed my opinion on reform churches in like manner and stated that in america is at fault because of this case

lawrance vs texas where sodomy is now legally acceptable. you would want proof.

however, i do listen to one reformer at present.nothig i havent heard before.

Well Eli since everything has been getting steadily worse and worse maybe you can tell me when things were better?

Was the' Golden Era' 100 years ago?

500?

Hey guy, I posted this elsewhere, but it makes me think of some here?? Maybe you can find yourself in these couple paragraphs somewhere, which was penned years ago? You will need Matt. 24:21! + Isa. 5:4-5, if you just might of ever had a doubt that maybe the Rev. 17:1-5 ones had of had an opportunity to be included in the 144000 at some point of time?

Vol. 9 pg. 97

The time is near when the great crisis in the history of the world will have come, when every movement in the government of God will be watched with intense interest and inexpressible apprehension. In quick succession the judgements of God will follow one another --- fire and flood and earthquake, with war and bloodshed.

Oh, that the people might know the time of their visitation! There are many who have not yet heard the testing truth for this time. There are many with whom the Spirit of God is striving. The time of God's destructive judgement is the time of mercy for those who have had no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them. His heart of mercy is touched: His hand is still stretched out to save, while the door is closed to those who would not enter.
