Just when I was getting accustomed to the last time change, this happens.

Grief! Can't they just make up their minds???????????

(Thanks for the reminder ... I had completely forgotten!)

I'm still waiting for my "atomic" and "radio signal controlled" clocks to update. I like the automated fast advance of the hour hand.

cell phones and laptop and one car radio already updated.

How many had people missing from Sunday school/Bible study, or church service, because those forgot to reset their clocks?

How many were absent because it was them who forgot?

:D I didn't. But I know people who did.

One of my church's pastors would have a story to tell about that. He'd just newly arrived to our town to start his service in my chruch. The sunday when he was supposed to be introduced to the church community during the service happened to be the week end of the daylight saving time start. And him and his wife weren't really moved into their new home yet, they had only their arm watches but no radio watches, and no cell phones yet back in those days.
So with all the excitement and the chaos around them they completely forgot about daylight savings.
And that was the service where they were to be introduced. So my pastor arrived a whole hour late for his first service of his new church.

Our daylight saving start on the last weekend of March, so right now I'm one hour closer to you guys than during the rest of the year.

Oh wait... "spring forward".... So in autumn you "fall back"?
That's awesome!!! :lol

Yeah, we get back the hour in November that we lost last night. Seems like a long time to wait to get an extra hour of sleep. :D

That word play with "spring" and "fall" is awesome.
Like many other people I always struggle for a few seconds when I try to remember what way to reset the clock at what time of the year, because there's no similar word play that would work in German. But I guess now I can finally remember, thanks to you!!

Yes, that word play is very helpful Claudya :)

Yesterday we were up on that stage singing the first song of the first service and you could see out the windows into the parking lot, at the flock of people scurrying in late.

We do First Service (traditional choir); Sunday School; Second Service (praise band). First Service and Sunday School were a little lightly populated yesterday! LOL

That sound like my church on EVERY sunday of the year. LOL

I sprang forward. Nearly threw my back out.

Yeah it's the same day/ weekend every year but it still come as a surprise to people every time. :lol
Sneaky sneaky daylight savings preying on unprepared humans.

Have you ever tried using an inversion table? It solved some back problems my dad was having.
I have two compressed discs from landing hard in my UH1D after we took enemy fire that penetrated the oil cooler. Auto-rotate is the worst, basically a form of slow-motion crash, and the hardest hit I've ever experienced. Our seats had shock absorbers and my left seat and I still felt like we got hit in the butt by an 18-wheeler going 60 on I-10. Our guys in the back got it even worse. I've tried a lot of things, including the inversion table, and haven't had anything alleviate the pain for any significant length of time. Thanks for the suggestion, though. If anyone can come up with anything short of surgery, would be much obliged.

Yikes, it sounds like surgery might be your best option to get that fixed. Not exactly risk free, but it is an option.

btw, did you get my PM?

Yes I did, and we really appreciate it. We'll take a look and let you know. I've been studying most of the night, with the occassional break, but I've got some free time tomorrow between appointments at different treatment centers, and I'll probably go to her house for lunch. We can look then. Again, that was incredibly generous of you, and I'll be in touch. Thank you! :D
