BTW, science can be blamed for some things, but not for Hitler. His program for dealing with the Jews was borrowed from Martin Luther, who advocated it much earlier.

It was Martin Luther's theology, not evolutionary theory, that was the inspiration for the "Final Solution."

Reading Luther's "Jews and their lies" is a chilling experience, in light of recent history.

April Elim Pentecostal "Direction" mag has the most wonderful feature debunking the arch-debunking atheist proselytiser - the 'Nutty Prof' Richard (Dorky) Dawkins' pathetic recent TV diatribe, in which he churned out all the long-debunked atheist chestnuts, for us to roast merrily on an open fire...

I have time to type the highlights I marked.. 8-)

'Of course, another noted atheist, Bertrand Russell, was saying much the same thing last century..

"Science will cause man to come into his own & enter a new Utopia...

"But after 2 devastating world wars - not to mention a horrific list of genocides - that naive idea of science creating a perfect world has been discredited, especially sice scientists contributed to the scale of devastation by devising ever more powerful weapons!"

Seems you have much more patience with Christian-based prophecy than atheist? Christians have been awaiting their Utopia (2nd coming of Jesus) for almost 2000 years and yet you dismiss Russell's prediction after only 100 years or so?

Besides...

It can be argued that science has brought about a relative Utopia as far as comfort and convenience is concerned. (note I say "relative") What has religion done for mankind?

There is no such thing as athiesm.

One would have to be God to prove that God doesn't exist.

I'm sorry but what? That really doesn't make much sense.

It makes total sense.

In order to prove that God doesn't exist, one needs complete knowledge of EVERYTHING in the entire universe at the same time.

That is a characteristic of God!

And furthermore, one would only need one bit of proof that God exists to accept theism.

I have that proof in the form of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who was resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. :D

I doubt it. Martin Luther did not kill anyone or tell us to. He never bull dozed one Palestinean house either, or made nuclear bombs that were holocast weapons! He never ran around the globe assasinating people. He never stole anyone's land, that I heard of.

No, I think Hitler's inspiration was elsewhere. Nice try.
