...rejoice and be glad in it (!). As per usual, this post is largely for me. Its dawned on me that each day is another day not promised anyone, especially me. Rejoice and be glad in it, mkay? As always, the more I try to apply bits of Biblical wisdom, the better off I am in all respects, sooo...

...I haven't been living in misery or in the past. Focus on the present, on Christ; things fall into place remarkably well.

Praise God for no more electro-shock. Just as God forgets sin according to Jer 31:34 . . I will remember their sin no more, maybe your righteousness now lies in the land of forgetfulness? Psa 88:12.

Yes, indeed...no more electroshock for this guy, lol.

In the weirdest way--and only because God made good of it, of course--electroshock hasn't been the worst thing ever. It was, back when I was stupid and didn't remember anything, etc. Now, though...I'm smart enough to do what I want/need to do and I even have a whole different personality. A lot of that is Christ's work in my life, but...like I said, in the weirdest way, electroshock kinda helped, because they gave me enough to wipe out my memories and my personality, and the old me would never have become a Christian. Also, not remembering near as much of my past wretchedness as I would otherwise has proven helpful, now that I'm smart enough to function in society.

This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it,,,,Why ? His mercies and love are refreshed and renewed each and every morning and His mercy endures forever..............
Brother C-E how in the world could any one go wrong with a set up like that ? Know what I mean ? Every single day His love for us is REFRESHED AND RENEWED...........unlike family or friends who wake up the next day just to continue on where they left off the night before !!

You are right no one is certain of tomorrow and it is truly a gift from God so we need be making the best of this day that He has given us. Reminds me of an old Petra song......Test of Time.....Gooooood Song

Downside: I went through a lot. Massive upside: I got saved and became a completely different person, in, through, and because of Christ Jesus.

Plus, I'm starting to finally realize that "he causes all things to come together for the good of those who are called...", so I may as well focus on the present and future I have, not on the past. I figure either some of it was part of God's plan all along, or He has seen fit to make good of it...either way, shrug it off and move forward.

It really is awesome to see where God is taking you and has come alongside you and making you a new creature. Blessings my friend and keep up the studying! It looks great on you!
