I was just thinking that it would be neat for everyone to think really hard and come up with a top ten list for their favorite movies. Here's mine:

Not a huge Weird Al fan, just like UHF. Don't really listen to his music much, but when it comes to parodies, UHF can't be beaten.

That's a very unique top ten, Jak! I don't think too many people would think of Waterworld when thinking of their top ten. Not that they're bad movies, they're just not high-profile movies, most of them.

I watched Tuck Everlasting the other day and wasn't too fond of it...

What made it stand out to you, Pippin? We're all unique and find different meanings and messages in stories, so maybe you saw something that I didn't. :D

Well, my class read the book back in 6th grade, and I've been in love with it ever since. I remember when I first saw the poster, I was just...sooooo excited. lol, I couldn't believe there was gonna be a movie!

The movie is incredably different. Like, in the movie they give away at the very begining that the man chasing Jesse and Miles is the same man that acme around at Winnie's house. In the book, you didn't know it was the same guy until the end.

Spoilers:
Also, you were never sure that the Tucks were actually immortal in the book. But in the movie, you are, cause it starts with Jesse in presant time. So the entire move, you never doubt that they are. Also, Winnie knows they in the movie, too. Cuase she sees Jesse get shot. In the book, she never knew one way or the other, like the reader.

Anyway, thats not why I like the movie, those are just reasons why the book has some better story telling. I guess I like the movie because I love period pieces, it has a cute love story, I like Alexis Bledel, I love the score, and the storyline just apeals to me.

Re: Mr. Holland...

Richard Dreyfus came to my school to "study us" in Jazz Band for his Mr. Holland movie...I was in the rhythym section and we were all jokers (cause we had nada to do while the horn players rehearsed their parts a thousand times).

We found ways to annoy the Actor/Director...I remember following him around after class and whispering "Dry-Face" behind his back. I wonder if he remembers that.
