Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Topic #3 Christ's "obedience" and "will".

But if it is HIS law, and will, how hard would it be TO be "obedient". Not very. This doesn't seem like a very impressive feat.

It was the Fathers law which the Son, who was made flesh, kept to the Fathers perfect standard. The only flesh who has ever done it.

Yawn......Trinity debates. :(

With what mind did Jesus think with? Was he actually capable to be "disobedient"?

If Jesus has a will different than god, then how could Jesus . . . still be god?

If there is a significant enough issue that puts a concern on that theology, then I would think an answer would be forthcoming. :shrug

I see how you lost your faith. Over analysis and lack of trust.

Anyway....on to topic #4?

2 John 2
[9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

[10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
[11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

How is it an "evil deed" to ask a question? Or is that a way to keep people afraid and in the dark so that questioning what is problematic becomes thwarted?

Jesus as the Son of man has His own will. Jesus as a perfect man, the son of God, is able to conform His will to the Father's.

Matthew 26:39
He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.â€

His example is set down now for us.

"...conform his will to the father". So Jesus has a will seperate from god. . . . . or else he couldn't pray "not my will but your will be done".

Yes, and because He was a perfect man, He conformed to God's will as our perfect example, thank God. Only Jesus could do that.

So, then the trinity has seperate wills. I wonder how that works. :chin

So,. . . . then it ISN'T "one god".

Of course there is only one God! He is three persons. If you cannot comprehend it, like most everyone, just believe it. He will help to settle it in your heart by His Spirit.

"The Form of..."

Speaking of Christ:
[Philippians 2:6-8 KJV] - Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

μορφή morphē θεός Theos --> "form of God"
μορφή morphē δοῦλος doulos --> "form of a servant"

[Philippians 2:8 KJV] - And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

For further clarity:

Philippians 2:6-8 Amplified
6Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained,
7But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.
8And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!

For further clarity...
We are agreed. I find morphē Theos and morphē doulos to be more clear (and emphatic). Even in Chinese it means the same thing.
