This is assuming you know who God is. Are you sure the God you imagine in your head, is really God? Are you sure you are praying
to the God of Israel?
Ok , so assuming you are praying to God, what an awesome feeling to think you can trust Him completely! For those of us who suffer anxiety and depression, it is very reassuring to know that . Know that if we put total trust in Him, our lives will change for the better. That there be no need to worry ever again. Life does become unpredictable, and there are challenges but to know someone is there for you no matter what.
We need such reassurance in these turbulent times. Nothing seems certain. There are no guarantees. Our health can go off the rails, we can lose someone close, our finances can dry up, political leaders are disappointing. If we can somehow rely on the God who is real to us, (yes the God of Israel I believe), then that is our anchor, our fortress.

I believe God repays trust. That is how we love God. By trusting Him.
We trusted our parents when we were young. Maybe they didn't prove perfect leaders. But still that trust was rewarded. Honour your mother and your father. By respecting leaders, we respect God?
So my boss seems to be micromanaging me at work recently. thats just my impression. It feels like harassment but realistically speaking, she is probably just doing her job. Here I need to trust God. By trusting her, I trust Him. Still I need to maintain a thread of doubt in being led by human beings. They sometimes lead us into Hell. Not in this case perhaps.

Great post Humble.
Yes, I am sure I am praying to the right God because there is only one God.
He knows me better than I know mysrlf. Bit He still loves me despite every fault. God is just, trustworthy and loving. He brings peace to our minds and hearts.

When we place God first in our life then we will know that we can trust Him to guide us through every situation here on earth that can bring us to a place of anxiety, depression and fear. He is our hope in a trying and uncertain world. It's all about trust and believing in His mercy and grace.

It is when these things happen that we discover whether we are or are not trusting God.

Faith is like muscles if one exercises one can run a marathon, but getting up from a sedentary lifestyle to run a marathon is not recommended by any coach or doctor.

Yet that is what we do when life kicks us in the teeth.

Romans 8:28. All things work together for the good of those who are called according to his purpose.

All things work together for the good, easy to believe when your boss is commending your good work, the kids are doing well at school and the car is running well.
How does one respond when on getting in to work one is told to go home, your job is no more, or the car is wrecked, etc etc

That is when one starts to run a faith marathon.

I can testify to the faith marathon as we are always running like a race through out life here on earth, especially when the bad times come all we can do is trust in God. My husband got laid off, lost our insurance that we desperately need as I was going to have back surgery this fall. No prospect for jobs in our area that pays what we need to meet all our bills, but by God's grace the company he worked for gave him ten weeks severance pay and that gives him plenty of time to find a job. How many companies would do that when they lay you off. We are considering moving out of state more down south to South Carolina where we have a friend there and job opportunities are better. We put it all in God's hands for guidance and know that everything will work out for the greater for us.
