trying to look in the positive side of life

cuz God loves us so much and wants us to be happy

and even though my mind saying oh i am unhappy because of x y or z

i know i am ok cuz i got G-O-D

I personally don't buy this whole "have a nice day," well-adjusted, high self-esteem sort of "happiness" that the world seems so intent on pushing on everyone. I'm personally often less-than-happy, though God has enabled me to start developing a bit of joy and some of the "peace that surpasses all understanding." Sometimes pain proves to be just what you need to become (more like) who God wills you to be.

knowing there are so many things in this world that ain't right , the only thing that i can say making me sane is the thought of having God in my life...when i wake up in the morning i would say " Today is another day to invest " coz i am looking forward to the life after this life.

I'm a realist. And because I see both sides of every issue in life, I'm called a pessimist by optimists and an optimist by pessimists. What can I say. I am what I am. And I'm an ordinary man. Some days I feel down, other days I feel up, and most days I feel in the middle. Even Jesus wept. And anyone can put on a face that makes them appear to be more up than they really feel. But it seems to me that to one who believes in God, the most important thing would be the realization that God is there no matter how one feels.

Well said.

I wish more people would look at it like this.It seems as if many times a persons outlook on God is dictated by in-the-moment emotion. If things are going well, then the blessings are flowing. When the hard times come,so many are shaken to the core with the inclination that God is bent on punishment/abandonment.

I agree with that CE brought up also.We just need to learn to have patience and stability of character instead of being prone to the knee-jerk reactions we all go through.

True "happiness" isnt a constant state a emotional elation, but rather an acceptance of what is and a willingness to work with the cards dealt to us.

I agree. The scriptures teem with accounts of God-fearing people struggling with sorrow, disappointment, and other things. I suggest that our destiny is to, in some sense, walk the path Jesus walked. And this will involve pain and suffering. However, I suspect that we are indeed promised "joy" - not in the "happy" sense, but rather in the sense that we know that God is ultimately going to restore the world, and us included, to the "Edenic" state.

I actually can find it difficult to keep a smile on my face knowing all the evil that surrounds me and dwells within me. I don't think I will truly be happy until I meet Him.

I agree that is definitely true that

gods love and how pleased he is with us ≠ how we feel or how good things are in our life

when i feel bad or things are going bad, i get some comfort by detaching from everything in life for a bit, and just having me and god.

realizing that this life is temporary, and compared to eternity its not even significant, but that is a concept we cant even understand as humans, but god promises that its good!

he has our backs, and our lives planned, so i just like to think of my life as a movie, and i am the star :chin

i think every life can be considered like a movie, but we know that we have god and no matter how bad our story board is atm, we all have happy endings
