[__ Prayer __] Unchartered waters

I saw this saying "God doesn't give the people you want, he gives you the people you need. To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you the person you were meant to be."
I never quite understood how could God bring somebody into your life to hurt you, I mean God is suppose to be on our side and protect us.
But I have realized that God takes us to unchartered waters all the time to make us stronger even though we feel as if we are sinking. Imagine how Peter felt when God was standing on the water in the storm and he told Peter to walk towards him. Peter only began to sink when he looked to the sides and took his focus off God. I suppose we lose focus on God when we face obstacles as well and our fears overwhelm us. It is a blessing in disguise and we suppose to see how much good can come out of such a negative situation. What little faith we have... Trials are meant to bring the best out in us. It's definitely not trials which we would like to face or places we would like to be at. But he takes us out of our comfort zone and we don't always understand why we need to face it or the fairness in it. I have learnt that these stormy trials do eventually come to an end, we just need to put our complete trust in God.

It's like the story of Job and how his faith was tested.
It's easy to believe in God when things are going good and the story of Job's is amazing.

I think that Christians have more temptations and trials than non believers but the difference is that we have God to help us carry our cross.

Psalms 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Trails only take you out of your comfort zone if you let them. Paul said I glad to spend, and be spent, I have learned to be content in whatever state I am in.
It's time to get more like Paul.

God does not send people to hurt you. You have to stop reading things from stupid people, and stay with scriptures.

God does not send you to trials, there is a devil looking to devour you as a roaring lion. Go talk to the devil about those trails, don't pin it on God.

God only takes you to uncharted Waters if you Obey his plan for your life, and walk it out by faith. Most everything that happens to people are not God's plan, and people not obeying God and walking in the path of the just. Jesus yoke is lite, on His path it's easy, on the devils and your own path, things are heavy and on issue after the other.

Some stormy Trials do end, but badly, and in the death of someone. They all don't come out roses.

Nothing in scripture about JOB's Faith. In fact, Job blew it big time concerning faith, and blamed God for the whole mess. It was not until the end the Lord stood up and asked Job who is this that darkens my council with words that have no wisdom, stand up and be a man.

Scripture says Job waited patiently, but He definitely had no faith, even saying He wish that He was never born. That is not faith.

If you want to see faith, go read about David. If the Chaladeans and Sabeans took David's stuff like they did Job's............ Glory to God, David would have had their stuff, and His stuff back.

As for Job's boils? David did not believe in that either.

Psa 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Amen Jack, I can relate to this.

It reminds me of what Peter had to say about suffering

1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with exultation.

......
and he even tells us to keep rejoicing through it all!

You also reminded me of the verse in James:
1:2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance

Rejoice because we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him!! Praise God!!

It's like the story of Job and how his faith was tested.
Scripture tells us without faith it is we cannot please God
Hebrews 11:6 (NASB)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
This scripture plainly shows God was pleased with His servant Job
Job 1:8 (NASB)
8 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you [a]considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, [b]fearing God and turning away from evil.”

It's easy to believe in God when things are going good and the story of Job's is amazing.
People tend to look up when things are bad

Non believers standards are the laws of the land. Christians standard is the cross
God tells us to take up our own cross;
Matthew 16:242

4 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
Our God neither changes nor lies
Malachi 3:6 (NASB)
6 “For [a]I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, [b]are not consumed.
