It will be interesting to see the development of that tribe when communication is established. I remember of hearing a WW2 story of Americans discovering a formally unknown tribe in the Philippians that had seen war planes flying overhead, formed a straw image of it and were worshiping it.

As far as I know, man is the only part of creation that has the natural tendency to worship, and I think of
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

To firmly take a stand on what they must know at this point would be pure speculation, but I don't believe they have come out by accident.
