My question is, if the Holy Spirit is an other being, he is not God the Father and also not Jesus. Who is this third person god in me? Did Jesus lie to us that He will be with us and in us till the end of this world?

If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 15:15-18

  • And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7

On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

Have you read Acts 2?

If you passed this test you would know Jesus always uses truth.

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?

If you look in a mirror and see your reflection....are you, you?
Is your spirit also you? I would think so.

If you just says that Jesus Christ is in me, then who or what is the Holy Spirit that are in me? Another third being? Then this is my conclusion by this Trinity teaching. There is in my about 4 heavenly beings in me.
My own spirit, a soul, Holy Spirit, and Jesus. Because the Holy Spirit is a God, not the Spirit of God and Jesus. I'm sorry my brothers and sisters. In me, in my body are living only one being and that is the Holy Spirit, and this Holy Spirit is Jesus Himself. So conclusion BIBLICAL is that now, RIGHT NOW, Jesus is in the most Holy place next His Father defending my case now against the Trinity teaching today. And now RIGHT NOW, the Holy Spirit that is Jesus Himself, is in me writing this BIBLICAL truth.
Act 2 is exactly what I have wrote about the Holy Spirit. My question didn't get his answer.
I ask again this time much clearer.
Where in the Bible I can read a single word that the Holy Spirit has says to God or Jesus or both? An example: God and Jesus are speaking together and we have proof of that, where can I read the Holy Spirit say to Jesus that I am also a God and we are three in one. I will hear his voice talking to Jesus or God. My friends it is better to follow only the Bible. Read Galatians 1:1-10. God have sent me here only for this moment. There are still hundred of forums waiting for the truth BIBLICAL. If I'm wrong prove me BIBLICAL where I'm wrong. If this forums have a teacher, and I am a student. I ask questions. And I will have answered, because if I'm perished, I tell God it is yours teaching. God bless.

I am trying to figure out what I believe . . . I am a bit radical I know. I think I believe that God and the Holy Spirit created the universe together and created Adam and Eve in their likeness. I think he created masculine and feminine personalities on earth because God has a masculine personality and the Holy Spirit has a feminine personality. Jesus was God's son with Mary so he was human. When he went back to Heaven he took his place with God and the Holy. So now there are three entities in Heaven. I understand this goes against doctrine for two reasons. The Bible says the Trinity is one entity and that Mary got pregnant by the Holy Spirit. That does not make sense to me. The bottom line is that God has not reveled the truth to me about this matter so I am just speculating. The only thing I know for sure is that God created me, Jesus saved me, and the Holy Spirit guides me in all matters. Please don't send me a lot of Biblical quotes to defend your position. That will not persuade me as I guess you guys have figured out right now.

P.S. What part of this resides in the human being? The Holy Spirit which resides in our soul.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (God/Jesus being one Spirit)

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (God/Jesus being one Spirit)

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (God/Jesus being one Spirit)

Now we see the Word, being God, who transforms His Spirit, being made flesh in whom the name Messiah was given Him and dwelt among His people preaching the Gospel of His grace, Ephesians 2:8. (God/Jesus being one Spirit)

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (God/Jesus/Holy Spirit being one Spirit)

The word water in John 3:5 means living water as in the living word of God, John 4:4-26; 7:37-39; 12:44-50; Ephesians 5:26; 1 John 5:5-8; Jeremiah 17:13; Zechariah 14:8, 9; Rev 21:6-8; Ezekiel 47:22.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: (literal water) but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire (God/Jesus/Holy Spirit being one Spirit in all authority and power)

All three being the Spirit of God, but manifested to us in three different ways for us to understand who God is in all His power and authority and His plan of salvation for a fallen sin filled world.

Ephesians 4: 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (God = Jesus = Holy Spirit = who is dwelling in us)that will never leave us or forsake us)

1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. (God's Spirit)
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (God's Spirit)
1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (God's Spirit)

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

My lovely sister is the Holy Spirit isn't the Spirit of God or Jesus, it is a God. Why we never hear or read that they are three in creation? Why only God and Jesus has spoken and we have the proof. Nobody till now doesn't answered me where I can read a words where the Holy Spirit is speaking with Jesus or the father. My sister I feel sad for what Paul has written what God has done to people that doesn't follow His truth.
2Thessalonians 2:10-12. Keep your faith and I can sure you BIBLICAL that the Holy Spirit is Jesus Himself. I think that what I have write about the truth concerning the Holy Spirit one day open some people hearts. Bless

I have not made up my mind yet. I am open to the idea that we have one God that manifests itself in three different forms. This is Illustrated in one of the Star Trek episodes. An energy force appeares in different forms for each of the people on the starship. It was interesting just see light and energy take forms like that according to each person's needs. So maybe Jesus is the Holy Spirit in a different form. He uses the metaphor of the Wind. When I imagine God he is the Father the Creator who stays in heaven. Then he sent or became the Holy Spirit to get Mary pregnant and created Jesus. Then Jesus goes home to be with the Father and the Holy Spirit goes back and forth between heaven and the Earth to comfort and guide.. The truth is I have no idea what I'm talking about I'm just ruminating. I'm reading your post carefully and they are all very interesting. I just don't know what's true except that when I asked in prayer who I was talking to a voice said my name is Spirit and I'm a woman. So that could be a guardian angel or the Holy Spirit I don't know. But that's who my connection to God is.

You should read John 1....in the beginning....understand who the Word is.

The Bible confuses me sometimes. It doesn't really mention the Trinity but when I Google the Trinity it says that God Jesus and Holy Spirit are all one. But in another thteaf about being holy For His Gory sent me a passage about Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Lord. That implies that he is separate. And that would make the Holy Spirit separate. Sometimes the Bible is not really going to help me because it's not conclusive. Oops did I say that out loud.

The subject of the Trinity can be confusing. Let me ask you this...do you ave a physical body? Do yo also have a spirit? Are they not two but both the oneness who is you?

My loving sweet sister as long that you think that the Holy Spirit is Jesus Himself, but by His power like you say light. You are in the right path. It is Jesus by His Holy Spirit are knocking at the door of our heart. Not an other being that we don't know what it is. God says we must test the spirits of they are from God or satan.

That is a great analogy. How about God the Father the Creator. Who created the Holy Spirit to be his Emissary to mankind. The Holy Spirit begat Jesus with Mary to improve communication with man and to offer them salvation by dying on the cross. The resurrection was to prove his divinity as well as the healing. Does this go against scripture. Which is more important scripture where it says Jesus sits at the right hand of God or the concept of the Trinity which is not in the Bible. Or can I believe in both.

I have been thinking about this. Right now I am a human being with a soul. I'm not a spiritual being until I get to heaven. But the Holy Spirit has come to me and resides in my soul. The Holy Spirit being in me does not make me spirit. Thank you for all your patience with me. I'm a difficult student.

Addendum. I just did some quick research on the Trinity and the different concepts of the Trinity have changed since Christ died many times. Nobody really knows for sure whether the Trinity is three persons or one person in three forms. So I guess it's okay to pray about it and see what God tells me. By the way my favorite is the Holy Spirit.

Ruminating on the nature of God is giving me a headache. When Job asked why me, God basically said you wouldn't understand if I told you. So I think all this is over my head. The true nature of God doesn't really matter to me. What matters to me is what Jesus had to say when he came to earth to save us. That we should love one another. And that love is multifaceted. It includes tolerance, affection, kindness, and charity. That's where my focus is right now on my charity in Kenya. I'm in the process of making it a non-profit so we can get funds to educate and feed the children. God is giving me my mission and that's my whole world right now. Good night everyone ❤

Here's a good Q and A site that may help you.

I don't see the HS as a person but as the Spirit of a person. In this case the Spirit of Yhwh which is translated to the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord. The one divine eternal Spirit of our heavenly Father. Jesus didn't state He and the Holy Spirit were one nor the Holy Spirit was living in Him. He stated He and the Father are one and the Father was living in Him. Since in our case the Spirit was sent in Jesus's name the Spirit represents the will of the mind of Jesus in us. Hence Christ in us. But it is still the one divine eternal Spirit of the Father so both Father and Son make their home with us.

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

A person acts according to their own will. The spirit of a person acts according to the will of the mind of the person. The spirit and mind of the person are still only one person.
The Holy Spirit does not speak on His own but only what He hears. The Holy Spirit in us does not intercede on His own but according to the will of the mind of God. God wills and His Spirit acts. Jesus wills and the Spirit acts. In His case He received such authority from the Father.
There was nothing in the NT that was made up.

This is very helpful for me to understand the Holy Spirit better.
