Wow... I'm speechless:

"You are Cardinal Cajetan, Pope Leo's Yes Man. A renowned Thomistic scholar, your failure to draw a renunciation from Luther led to the showdown at the Diet of Worms."

:lol :toofunny :lol They couldn't have picked a better characterization! What could be more perfect? LOL!

Quiz here: Which 16th century theologian are you?

Those are the most ridiculous and irrelevant questions I've ever seen. They didn't even have Toyota or Lexus on the car options! ;)

-----------------------------------------------

UPDATE - Better quiz here: Which theologian are you?.

This has more relevant results and gives you a percentage scale.

-----------------------------------------------

You? I'm interested to see your results. :)

Have fun.

If you find any related (or better/more relevant) theology quizes feel free to post them here.

Re: Quiz: Which 16th century theologian are you?

Apparently, I'm Philip Melancthon:

Quiz Result said:
You are Philip Melancthon, author of the Augsburg Confession and colleague of Luther at Wittenberg. You were the most prominent among the Lutheran theologians seeking reconciliation with the Catholic Church.

Re: Quiz: Which 16th century theologian are you?

Me too, Philip Melancthon

Re: Quiz: Which 16th century theologian are you?

You are John Calvin, latecomer to the Reformation scene, but one of the most influential figures in the development of subsequent Protestant theology.

I didn't know the movies, was very limited on my knowledge of the songs. Such a silly test. :D

Re: Quiz: Which 16th century theologian are you?

I am yet another....

Re: Quiz: Which 16th century theologian are you?

I wonder what impact drinking milk had on my results...? :)

I took that one also, Josh and my results are much the same:

You Scored as Karl Barth

The daddy of 20th Century theology. You perceive liberal theology to be a disaster and so you insist that the revelation of Christ, not human experience, should be the starting point for all theology.

Did you try the heretic one? Weew, I am glad someone thinks I am orthodox! Does this mean I am card carrying Orthodox?

You Scored as Chalcedon compliant

You are Chalcedon compliant. Congratulations, you're not a heretic. You believe that Jesus is truly God and truly man and like us in every respect, apart from sin. Officially approved in 451.

There is also one on eschatology. Does this rate me a leaky dispensationalist? Johnny Mac would be proud of me. I notice I am a little weak on "left behind." What does that mean? Hey, is Moltmann ... Eric Moltmann?

You Scored as Dispensationalist

Now is the Church Age, but during the millenial reign of Christ, the Jews will once again be the focus of God's plans. You are a firm believer in the rapture and seek to take the Bible literally.

Dispensationalist 75%
Premillenialist 65%
Moltmannian Eschatology 55%
Left Behind 45%
Preterist 35%
Postmillenialist 30%
Amillenialist 25%

It means you're a little weak on pretribulationalism. Also, I didn't think someone who basically followed reformed theology to be much of a dispie anyway.

You are Thomas Cranmer, leader of the English Reformation. After becoming Archbishop of Canterbury in 1533, you introduced Protestant-like reforms to the Church of England, before being burned at the stake in 1556 when Queen Mary I tried to return England to Catholicism.

That figures... and I really need a shave. :D

hehe

...so... the eschatology isn't suprising to me:

You Scored as Amillenialist
Amillenialism believes that the 1000 year reign is not literal but figurative, and that Christ began to reign at his ascension. People take some prophetic scripture far too literally in your view.

Amillenialist 85%
Preterist 65%
Postmillenialist 55%
Premillenialist 45%
Moltmannian Eschatology 35%
Dispensationalist 30%
Left Behind 25%

I'm right there with you Craig and it didn't surprise me much; I knew my end times beliefs were heading in this direction:

You Scored as Amillenialist

Amillenialism believes that the 1000 year reign is not literal but figurative, and that Christ began to reign at his ascension. People take some prophetic scripture far too literally in your view.
