I saw this with my three oldest kids (21, 18 and 15), but would not let my 10- and 8-year old kids see it. The vampires are a bit too intense for that age group, I think (a well-deserved PG-13 rating). I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of sexual images, relatively, particularly with the Beckinsale character. Dracula's wives were a bit much, however.
It's too bad that producers are jumping on the Spiderman-like special effects rather than Matrix-like human action (with wires/harnesses). The effects are too cheesy, remiscent of the days of Harryhausen and stop-action. I think American Werewolf in London did a better job of werewolf transformation.
The plot was interesting to start with, but got real hokey at the end, kind of like Abbott and Costello meet Dracula/Frankenstein/Wolfman/Alien/The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
