She's my older, wiser, Pentecostal friend. She's like a mix of a 2nd mother and a spiritual mentor, wrapped up in one. Oh, and a friend, like I said.

OK. Her health isn't great. A kidney infection that either keeps coming back or doesn't go away. She's currently been prescribed 2 antibiotics, with 1 to begin right after the other 1 is completed.

Family is still an issue. Please pray for her son. He'd already had 2 back surgeries and now he has to have another one, because he slipped on some oil at his job and damaged his back further. I'm thinking he may not keep this job after this, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Her daughter did writer her a letter (thanks for your prayers on that one, btw), but there's still some completely unnecessary tension+hostility, plus Verna has yet to see her great-grandson for any meaningful length of time.

Plus, it only recently, finally dawned on me: she gets sad and lonely. Her beloved husband, Ronnie, died about 3 years ago. they were married 27 years, 2nd marriage for both of them. Perfect pair, right to the end.

Thanks for praying for me (often, lol), and now I'm asking (yet again) that you pray for my special friend. Thanks.

Verna remains in my prayers, my friend. She truly is one of our Lord's special people on earth!

Something you might recommend: Cranberry juice or cranberries to be added to her weekly diet. For some reason, cranberries assist the kidneys in functioning properly. Moderation, however, is key here. So a small glass of real cranberry juice (without all the added sugars) every other day might help.

praying for her. I feel sympathy for her son. that's gotta be so tough! :(
Praying for her kids too.
