Please...if you keep up with me and pray for me, take a moment and pray for verna, too.

She hasn't called me back just yet. She went to her nephrologist a couple days ago and the family doctor today. Her kidney function has dipped. She's not in dialysis territory, but...wow. I wouldn't wish dialysis on anyone, especially Verna.

On the plus side, she has excellent medical coverage, her husband's pension, and the nice house she and her husband bought together before he got sick with cancer and died. Her faith is...inspiring. I am truly, genuinely blessed that The Lord put her in my life.

it looks like some of the decline in kidney function --could-- have been from dehydration. verna's most recent culture came back clean for any sort of infection, so...that's obviously a (very) good thing.

I appreciate everyone's replies, prayers, support, etc. Thanks.
