Verse of the Day

All of us will stand before God to be judged by him. For the scripture says: "As surely as I am the living God says the Lord, everyone will kneel before me, and everyone will confess that I am God. " Every one of us, then, will have to give an account of ourselves to God

Romans 14: 10-12

What an awesome and needed verse!

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.†- Ephesians 4:2

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Messiah is a child of God; and whoever loves a Father loves his child also. This is how we know that we love God's children: it is by loving God and obeying his commands. For our love for God means that we obey his commands. And his commands are not too hard for us, because every child of God is able to defeat the world. And we win the victory over the world by means of our faith. Who can defeat the world? Only the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

1 John 5:1-5

“For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.†- Psalm 86:5

Happy are those who have the God of Jacob to help them and who depend on the Lord their God, the Creator of heaven, earth and sea, and all that is in them.
... The Lord sets prisoners free and gives sight to the blind. He lifts those who have fallen; he loves his righteous people. ... he takes his pleasure in those who honour him, in those who trust in his constant love.

Psalms 146: 5-6,8. Psalms 147:11

I'll probably start using the ESV from now on.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.†- Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (ESV)

"Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, the one I love, and with whom I am pleased. I will send my Spirit upon him, and he will announce my judgement to the nations. He will not argue or shout, or make loud speeches in the streets. ... He will persist until he causes justice to triumph, and in him all peoples will put their hope."

Matthew 12:18-21

“But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined,what God has prepared for those who love him"—†- 1 Corinthians 2:9

Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right-hand side of God's throne.

Hebrews 12:2

“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.†- Psalm 59:16

Tell everyone who is discouraged, "Be strong and don't be afraid! God is coming to your rescue, coming to punish your enemies."
The blind will be able to see, and the deaf will hear. The lame will leap and dance, and those who cannot speak will shout for joy. Streams of water will flow through the desert; the burning sand will become a lake, and dry land will be filled with springs. ... There will be a highway there, called "The Road of Holiness". ... Those whom the Lord has recused will travel home by that road. The will reach Jerusalem with gladness, singing and shouting for joy. They will be happy for ever, for ever free from sorrow and grief.

Isaiah 35: 4-7,8,9-10

Proclaim every day the good news that he has saved us. Proclaim his glory to the nations, his mighty deeds to all peoples. The Lord is great and is to be highly praised; he is to be honoured more than all the gods. The gods of all other nations are only idols, but the Lord created the heavens. Glory and majesty surround him, power and joy fill his Temple. Praise the Lord, all people on earth, praise his glory and might. Praise the Lord's glorious name; ... Bow down before the Holy One when he appears; tremble before him, all the earth! The earth is set firmly in place and cannot be moved. Be glad earth, and sky! Tell the nations that the Lord is king. Roar, sea and every creature in you; be glad, fields, and everything in you! The trees in the woods will shout for joy when the Lord comes to rule the earth. Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good; his love is eternal.

1 Chronicles 16:23-34

“Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.†- Proverbs 21:21 (ESV)

" ... He who sits on the throne will protect them with his presence. Never again will they hunger or thirst; neither sun, nor any scorching heat will burn them, because the Lamb, who is in the centre of the throne, will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Revelation 7:15-17

Those who obey their human nature cannot please God. ... But if Christ lives in you, the Spirit is life for you because you have been put right with God, ... If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of his Spirit in you. ... Those who are led by God's Spirit are God's children.

Romans 8:8,10-11,14

Jer 9:23
Thus says the LORD:
" Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
Jer 9:24
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight," says the LORD.

“[For God So Loved the World] "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.†- John 3:16 (ESV)

<DIR>Isa 53:1 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

Isa 53:2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Isa 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Isa 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

Isa 53:9 And they[a] made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.

Isa 53:11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.

Isa 53:12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.
