The nigerian scam has nothing to do with Nigeria the nation or the people of Nigeria. They scam comes from the UK. I don't even know why its called Nigerian scam.

Because It's a "nigerian prince" asking for money.
 
Apparently my long lost great uncle from the stone age like 50,000 years ago left me an inheritance on land worth 200 million.
